  1. Interesting. I don't know what the noise limits are like for tracks in the States but here in the UK we tend to put the baffles in for track days and take them out for the road.
  2. I've never tried riding on the dirt but it's something I would love to do. Simply to become more comfortable with the idea of the bike sliding a bit and moving about beneath me.
  3. It was great! There was heavy rain for qualifying and despite crashing 3 times Josh Brookes put it on pole but race day was lovely weather and Shane Byrne scored a double win. Brands Hatch is a great circuit for spectating. Here are a couple of my snaps. I'm doing a track day there next week and also CSS level 4 in June.
  4. I've also noticed that the guys in Moto2 seem to back it in a lot. They just don't do that any more in MotoGP. Well, everyone apart from Marquez that is. ;-)
  5. What an epic race that was! (BTW the MotoGP video pass is almost worth it just for the access to all those classic races). Yeah Doohan had a fairly "unique" style. :-) Obviously worked for him though.
  6. Thanks for the welcome! I mostly ride on the street but try to do about 5 or 6 track days a year. So far they've all been in the novice group but I figured it was time to move up so I've got the first track day of the year booked into the intermediate group at Brands Hatch in a couple of weeks. My main goal is to go round corners faster. :-) British Superbikes is a great race series. I think it's probably the best domestic bike racing championship in the world. I'm actually going to the opening round this weekend!
  7. Hi I ride a Triumph Daytona 675 and live in London. I did CSS level 1 at Silverstone in 2012 and absolutely loved it. Now this summer I will doing level 4 at Brands Hatch. I'm always trying to improve my skills on every ride so looking forward to learning a lot and contributing what I can to the forum.
