  1. Hello. I'm a rider from the Bay Area. I commute to work on a K1300s. I carve canyons on an s1000rr on the weekends, and I ride track on another s1000rr. I just love riding.
  2. Hello! I'm a CSS newbie. Very excited to be participating in the level 1 class and meeting cool people. (Short intro) My name is Aravind. I've ridden a couple different motorcycles (<200cc) when I lived in India. My first real sport bike was a 2004 GSX-R 600. I had it for about a year, but only got to ride it during the 7 months where Buffalo,NY doesn't look like Alaska I moved to the California bay area last year and recently acquired a 2008 Ducati 848. I watched the twist of the wrist videos and realized that I have a lot to learn. Found the nearest available class and signed up. This will be my first time on a track. I'm getting a hitch installed on my car and am planing on renting a motorcycle trailer from u-haul, but I'm dreading the boring commute from San Francisco to Lancaster. If anyone else here is attending the school on the 14th and can use some company, say hi. Some questions about the class/track 1. Does it make sense to bring your own fuel? How much is appropriate? 2. How do I get myself photos/videos of myself on the track? Do they have professionals on the track that would do this for a fee? 3. I'm installing new tires on my bike this week. I was planning on commuting ~40mi everyday to break them in a little. Is there a better way to break-in tires? -Aravind
  3. Hello! I'm from Alberta Canada, where we have a very limited riding season. Lady rider, been riding for a few years, and I've only done a couple track days in the novice group. I love riding and my goal is to improve in all ways possible. I'm scraping up the funds to eventually register for superbike school, hopefully the 2 day course. Thanks for listening! I have tons of q's and look forward to chatting and meeting other riders. Cheers, Cee
  4. Hello everyone, i am Paul from Ireland but have lived in Austin Texas since 1999. I have had bikes in Ireland starting in the late 70's on and off thru late 90's. Started back on bikes in Texas in 2004 with a Suzuki RF900 followed by 05CBR00RR, 08 Hayabusa, 11 ninja1000(old guy sport bike) and currently ride a 2012 Kawasaki Concours1400. I am an avid fan of motorcycle track and road racing (MotoGP, AMA, IOM TT, North West 200, Ulster Grand Prix). Recently enjoyed 2013 motogp in Austin. COTA is a beautiful track ,weather was great and event was well organized. Attending CSS has been on my wish list for years. I will be attending levels 1&2 two day camp at Streets of Willow June 10&11th. It will be my first time on a track also. Have my flight booked to LAX and rental car. Anyone got recommendations for hotels? To prep for the school I have read TOTW and TOTW2, I also have the DVDs also and look forward to the school. Also doing cycling to build cardio for the track. Cheers from Texas. Paul
