01killerR1
I'll be attending my first CSS ( level 1) at VIR this September and was wondering what the South Course was like ? I've been to the North Course but I have no idea what the Southern course is like and as this being my first time on a track I was wondering what to expect . Thanks
Bones
Pictures and a movie of the south course can be found on the VIR Track Info page. Enjoy!
JohnBryer
I'm likely going to register for that class on 9/20.
stuman
Ha! The music choice for the movie seems kind of funny Looks like a fun track. I've been on the north course a few times and it is one of my favorite tracks. South course looks a bit faster.
Keith Code
We've run the South Course before and found it a pretty good training track. Liek the rest of teh VIR it has lots of elevation changes and some pretty technical stuff going off down the hill from what would be turn one for that track. We put a chaicane in the front straight last time we ran there and I'll likely do that again. Keith
01killerR1
Thanks Keith, I am SO looking forward to this I could bust I do believe that after this expeirence I'm gonna have to invest in a track bike
Bones
And after you invest in a track bike there is :- - enclosed trailer - slicks - tire warmers - spare rims - better leathers, helmet, gloves . . . . - racing club, state, national - trainee instructor - and the addiction continues . . . . This is just the beginning . . . . .
the Oracle
I realize this is an old topic, but the class isn't until Sept... So, I thought I would chime in. You could always go to the 8-28 NESBA track day at VIR-South to try the track out before the class. Just a thought, Rip
