Arrow Posted January 28, 2014 Report Share Posted January 28, 2014 Hello to everyone! I am new to the forum and have not attended the CSS. However, I am not new to performance riding and I have studied Mr Code's material in great detail. I have been riding for over 20 years but after happening upon Twist 1 and 2, as well as Soft Science of Road Racing, my understanding of the finer points of riding accelerated dramatically. If I had only found this material 20 years ago, instead of 4, I would be a better rider than I currently am today. Because of it, I am not only faster but also safer. It has opened up doors that I could see but did not have the technical knowledge to walk through. If I had the chance to speak with Keith, I would thank him with the greatest of sincerity. The knowledge, put into practice, has tripled my enjoyment of riding. For that, I cannot thank him enough. I hope to make a lot of friends, learn and contribute to this forum in a beneficial way. I currently ride a CBR600RR, a heavily modded Triumph Thruxton, a 2002 SV650 and a frame up restored 1972 Honda CB450K5. Ryan Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I too wasted far too many years thinking I knew how to ride a morotcycle! Are you planning on attending the school anytime soon? Not only is it a great education but Keith is often there (he was my level 4 classroom coach last year) so you can study under the guru in person (and he loves to talk riding with his students before, during, and after the school!) Its appreciated and honestly what I expected given the school's reputation. As for more pictures, I am still trying to figure it out. The way pictures are posted here is unlike any other forum I have seen. Typically I would copy and paste in a code from Flicker but the forum is not allowing that. Perhaps it is due to limitations of new members. Any advice would greatly be appreciated. I do love the classics and restore them for a hobby. However, I have put all restorations on hold due to time. I'd much rather use the limited time I have to ride than build. Warregl, I don't have any plans, as of right now, to make attendance at the school. Unfortunately, I live on the opposite side of the country and, as I understand it, the school will no longer be traveling to Mid-Ohio as a satellite. We do have track days here but it is not affiliated with CSS. It certainly is a dream of mine to get out there but it won't be anytime this year. I am hoping for next year. I typically spend my block vacation time riding in the Smoky Mountain / North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountain areas. There are extended weekends that allow for track or Northern Kentucky jaunts as well. I can say that I wish I had taken the class much earlier. If you can ever make the trip it is well worth the effort. And they make it easy to just show up and ride if you have to fly. Shakespear Posted February 15, 2014 Report Share Posted February 15, 2014 Welcome to the Forum. I too have only so far used the books, including Soft Science, and the DVD. I feel like i've learned a tremendous amount this way...my favorite is Twist II on CD which I have loaded into my iPhone for a riding companion. I'm told this all is going to pale by comparison to live coaching which seems plausible but I still want to think I'm a much improved rider as it as and as. Be that all as it may I am much looking forward to Level I in May which I will take time to absorb and practice and then do Level II in August. I'l do the same in 2015 I then I guess start repeating Level IV and do a Code Race eventually. Lots to look forward to. I understand your dilemma with travel to a School as even the four hours for me to get to New Jersey Motorsports Park has some challenges. I expect you will enjoy the Forums and continue to learn as has been the case for me. I spent a lot of time reading Keiths articles in the Forum which is great because I wanted to get it from the source. Once again welcome and all the best.
