  1. I've read some things about what you all are talking about regarding 5.5" vs 6.0" rims, and squeezing the tire and thus changing the profile. My 05' 999S comes with a 5.5, and a 190 Pilot Power. A super sticky tire, (it's tough getting rid of the 'chicket-strips with this tire!) but I'm curious as to the proper profile for the tire. It must be OK right? It's Ducati OEM for god's sake! But I think that when I need new tires, chain, and sporckets, I will jump to the 6". Unfortunatly, I have to change to either a 520, or 530 as Marchesini don't make aftermarket rims that will take a 525, and cush-drives also need to be changed. Any other feed back would be appreciated...Hommie
  2. What kind of condition is the Reno Fernley track in, and what it's it like to ride on. Any elevation? Do they keep it up? How are the hotels in Fernley? I wanted to go to the Napa school this summer, but for only one day, it's not worth the hassle with air-fare etc. I like to try a different track when I do the Code schools, and was curious about Fernley. I hope it's not as run down as Reno! Thanks...Hommie
  3. There seems to be more emphasis of late on the size differences of the racing tires being tested at Daytona and Malaysia etc. because of rider difficulties such as delaminations, handling anamolies and 'getting-used' to a 1/2 inch difference. Other than tire profiles because of the tire diameter differences, I would like to have a better understanding of the dynamics of the two tires and their impact on the high-performance rider. Basically, what is the big deal. Probably not much for someone like me who does a track-day once in awhile, and likes just having a little fun on the roads. Thanks alot for your time...Hommie
