  1. I got the 2CTs put on. Thanks anyway.
  2. My take: Slow in, quick flick, less time in full lean = sooner up out of lean and faster back on the gas, quicker to next corner. My class is in 11 days. I will find out then.
  3. Hey Hank, I would contact (phone) the school directly with important time sensitive questions like this one to be certain you get the information you need in time. I know Cobie and JR get up here on the forum as often as they can but I think it is more difficult when they are traveling "on the road" with the school this time of year. Cheers, racer Thank you, I will. Hank
  4. How do I get the tires from the school before I take the class?? Will you be there doing tires at VIR on the 18th?
  5. Thank you. I can't wait to get there! I am already signed up. I do want new tires. Duel compound I think as I will be riding the bike more on the street than the track this year. How do you work that? Mounted and balanced? Get the tires the day before class? The morning of class? Do you send them to me and I get them put on before I go to class?
  6. I am doing the level 1 class on 5/19 with my bike and gear. I plan to do track days in the future. Now for the questions. What do I need to do to my bike? (water, safety wire, lights, tires, etc.) What do I need for gear? I will have a full 2 piece 360 zip leather suit, within 5 year full face 1 piece Snell/DOT helmet, leather gauntlet gloves and racing boots. Do I need a back protector? What else do I need? I look forward to getting there. I am going to stay at the track over the garage the night of the 18th so I can get a fresh start in the morning. Maybe we could meet y'all there if that is where you are staying. Do I need anything else? Thanks, Hank PS.. Moved the questions to this topic.
  7. I have signed up for the lvl 1 class on 5/19 at VIR. I have read Twist 2. As stated in the topic, I am a Harley guy. In the last few years my riding style has progressed toward the aggressive end of the scale. I did a trip with friends to The Dragon last year and scraped everything up on both sides. I knew something had to change. So at age 49 I did the only thing I could. I bought a 2000 YZF600R. Now it is time to learn how to ride it. A friend of mine wanted to take your class so here we are (he signed up too). I am doing the class with my bike and gear. I am funny that way. Did the same thing with SCUBA. I plan to do track days in the future. Now for the questions. What do I need to do to my bike? (water, safety wire, lights, tires, ect.) What do I need for gear? I will have a full 2 piece 360 zip leather suit, within 5 year full face 1 piece Snell/DOT helmet, leather gauntlet gloves and racing boots. Do I need a back protector? What else do I need? I look forward to getting there. We are going to stay at the track over the garage the night of the 18th so we can get a fresh start in the morning.
