  1. i qualified 4th and when the race started after turn 1 i was still 4th but on T3 i was in 3ed place, the first 2 were very fast but i managed to hang on, the guy in front made a mistake so the rider behind him past but no space for me to to pass, so i was looking for an opportunity and found it so i decided to pass him at this turn ( in an S turn ) when i lend in the turn i may have added more throttle because the rear tire sided and i was on the ground and the bike was facing me ( i entered the turn at 110+ mph ) i was heading to the iron barrier very fast so my brain just shuts off and i was uncontentious for 20 minuets. i woke up in the medical center in the track then i was taken to the hospital for a CT scan of the brain. i hit the barrier so hard ( i had one back protector in the suit and one additional one ) the additional back protector split in 2. i was very lucky to end up with a swollen hand and a blue a$$ pain all over but will try to recover ASAP.
  2. yes my friend this is Reem track and i have taken level 1, i will use your time above to explane what is happening: T1 (0:00) i was getting a video of the guy in front of me when i decided to go for it. T2 (0:23) i am going from 5th gear to 2nd after i start braking, and i brake late so the rear tire is not stable and i have to turn quick so i can make the turn. T2 (0:23) i was not on the right side when i turned ( i was clumsy ) and there is a nasty bump in the middel of the turn that makes me nerves. T4 (0:36) i did not open the throttle smoothly to the remanded of the turn just kept it slightly open. throwing the bike from side to side makes me nerves. T4 (0:36) bliping the throttle is a very very difficult thing to do, and i do not know how to do it with braking so i just brake and down shift and since i late brake i have to wait for the bike to settle a bit then i turn it, that is why i ran wide. T6 (0:55) i am trail braking at this turn that is why i do not just turn, i have to calm the bike to the turn. T7 (1:03) i am just scared here, thinking that the bike will slide when i apply the throttle here. T8 (1:08) thank you, last year i lost a podium position because my line was not that good so i have learned from my mistakes. T9 (1:15) having trouble with this turn, some fast guys are not braking when they enter the turn but i just tutch the brake lever. T10 (1:20) the straight after the turn is not that far from it and there is a bump when you turn so i get nerves. T11 (1:25) i need HELP. thank you for your help and opinion, i hope that i have explained some of my problems on the track. i am racing on Thursday hope i can do better.

I was struggling at the beginning of the year because my for arm was getting way tiered after only 3 laps ( the thing is I am in good shape ) and I am relaxed in my riding ( doing the chicken dance every now and then ) so I finally found out what is the problem, the suit was too tight ( not on the body but on the arms ) so I got back in my old suit and all is well and can do about 15 laps then I can get tiered. In my last run I was able to get 1:24.4 on the track ( the record is 1:21.2 ) it does not look far from the record but it is. i am a good late braker so that is my advantage on the other guys but I am braking at the same point as they are ( just wanted to know where do they brake ). One of the problems that I have is turning, now it is not that big problem but when you are braking hard and bike is not stable it is very hard to have the confidence to turn. I trail brake when it is possible and they tires are amazing, I got in to the 1:24s with tires that had 140+ laps on them ( about 80 of them was fallowing and shooting videos of the slow guys to help them see what are they doing wrong. But I know for a fact that I am a faster guy, in one turn I touch the brake slightly just to get the front down to turn faster. the other problem is that i do not have the hart to charge the turns with throttle so that is one more thing that is slowing me down.   5. Kai, if i remember correctly my vision was stuck to the turning point and 2-3 meters before i get to it i look to where i want to turn.
  6. ok guys, to keep you updated. i managed to drop my time to 1:26 and i still see where i have my major problems. when i am going from right to left then right i stop turning the throttle and it seems that i am idling to the turn and some times i even touch the brakes, i do not know why i do that but it is like my brain is doing it by force. i know for shore that the tires have more grip in them than i can Handel but still my mind is playing games on me.
  7. thanks guys, i did level 1 ( great experience ). i am turning at the right place ( the same place that i get in the 1:24's ) with no problem and i hit the apex the problem is the exit and the sense of speed that i am approaching the turn in. i know that i have lots of other mistakes but these are that things that i can find at the moment.
  8. if i was braking too late then having to turn very tight than that is correct but i have lots of room and distance to turn and i use the marks that the CSS left on the track.
  9. thank you RonniB, but i am hitting the apexes with no problem, try to look at it like this: if i am braking later and still hitting the apex and every thing looks fast then i must be going fast.
  10. maybe but i do not think that i am trying too hard, i see every thing comming at me at high speed like i am looking down not at where i want to go.
  11. back to the track after a 7 months stop ( the heat here is unbearable for the bikes ), any way i got to the track with a bike that i have never ridden in or out of the track with a track that a new lay out, with tires that are new to me. i manged to get 1:29 and the best i did was 1:24 now that is a big difference. the thing is the seance of speed is incredible it feels that i am going in the low 1:25 but i am far from that, right now i brake way to late ( a bike length than before thanks to the new brakes ) and i can brake even later ( later than any one on the track ) and still have room for braking later, but i find it very difficult directing the bike to the place i want to go, it goes wide so i add more throttle to if possible let the rear tire slide a bit to direct me better but with no good results. i use the 2 step drill but still no cigar.
  12. since this is a forum for riders that go to tracks for racing or having fun then this subject will be very important. now i am not going to explain the art of passing, i am hoping that on of the guys can illustrate it for me. when i am racing passing an over lapped rider is very dangerous ( if dose not see the blue flag or do not give a f&%k about it ) they are unpredictable, if you fallow them you will see that they do not have a pattern for turning they turn early or late, for fast guys you can see or determine there turning points and you may be mistaking there turning mark buy 5 feet max. my question is about passing fast guys, every rider in a race has another rider that is about as fast as him some times slow but he has a better start and now he is in front of me, he is riding a defensive line and i know i am faster than him because when i get to the apex i have to hit the brakes not to hit him, so it becomes a drag race to the next turn. i tried to pass from the outside but he kept pushing me out more and more till i hit the piano and it gets a bit slippery so i have to back off the throttle. any tips?
  13. if you want a great view to see the race let them over lap you then stick with the fast guys and you will see the best passing and the best view posible.
  14. Well I just got back from the race in Qatar and what a great race. We were 27 riders for 2 races with 15 laps in each race, the tire supplier did not get enough tires for every one so I had to go threw free practices on qualifying with my old tires and I managed to get in 14th position on the grid. Now some of the guys that are racing with me are professional riders some where in motogp 250CC and in the new 600cc every world endurance ( in super sport ) where there and also champions from around the region. A bad start made me go from 14th to 22 or 23 but I managed to catch them and made it to 13th place with a bout 0.600 from the guy in front of me ( 2007 yamaha R1 ). The second race I had a better start but not that good, and I continued to fight my way till I got to 10th position and it was just me and the R1 guy on lap 14 there was just 0.014 difference between us and he got past me on the strait ( that R1 was very powerful ) but I managed to brake very late and got past him I stayed in front of him till the end of the race with a 0.143 difference. Yes I did not win the race but I had a lot of fun My bike is a cbr1000 model 2006
  15. i did level one at alreem track in saudi arabia, hope you guys come again so we can take level2. some of the curbs are triangles and i get near them so i can use all the track that i have. some of the apexes have bumps in them that you can feel the front tire leaving the ground. and one of the turns at the time of shooting the video had some oil spill in it. bullet when you talk i feel that i am talking to yoda

  17. ok i am back, the therottl control is a bit better but now i am turning way too early. i can not seem to let my body do multi tasking it can do one thing at a time. i will post a video soon thank you all
  18. johnny was my coche at level 1 and he told me why do you leave the throttle on the bump and a told him that i will fall if i keep pushing and he replayed no you won't. at some time i fallowed his advice and found that he was correct but my sub conchies keep telling me leave the throttle you idiot you will fall.
  19. thank you guys for you help, i need all the advice i can get. as for the throttle issue you are correct sir, when i see that i got the line or i feel comfortable i hammer the thing. as for the shake in turn one i know that the bump in the middle of the braking zone has a lot to do with it, when i apply the break every thing is OK but when i hit the bump you can feel ( and my friend see the rear hoping from side to side and have to eaz on the breaks to get the bike stable.
  20. at the out side of turn one there was an oil spill and was afraid to touch it at lean. the problem is getting the confidence to turn the bike quick. that lap was 1:26 or 1:27 and i did 1:25 but the camera was full so i did not get it.
