  1. So I am told that my upper body position is spot-on AND that my head is up too high by CR's. If you watch Rossi or even some of the coaches at CSS they appear to be head down. Almost as if they are head-butting their way through the corner. Even the image above, shows a coach following a rider (right side above and behind the 17 bike) with the head more downward. Granted his / her butt is way off the seat, it stilll appears as if the head is pointed way down. I'm assuming this is correct form? Any particular reason or is this stylistic? Attached pics of me and Pete behind me. Level's 3 and 4 can't come soon enough. You an ignore my body position on this pic, I have worked hard to improve since. Jody
  2. Old thread but did you do the two day school yet?
  3. Don, that question is bested directed to the folks on the phone. I can't speak for the school but I myself have registered several folks for the school and met a gent that has been nearly a dozen times and he paid the same rate we all did for our first event. IMHO, it's worth every penny.
  4. Kevin, What a fanstastic perspective and I very much value your input. I have done several track days since levels I & II in early May and the control riders are most helpful. However, some of the folks I have come across are providing information, while it may not be completely wrong, is wrong for me. I'm an open minded guy but Pete really gave me some practical things to work on versus track day CR's that have a one-size-fits-all approach to training. Truth be told, everyone I have worked with at CSS was exceptional. You can tell that this is their jobs and they are very good at what they do. I understand why Keith has such a long training program. Everyone is on the same page. With all of that in mind, I have registered three of my friends for the August school and it is impractical for all of us to work with Pete. Your advice is taken, I'm going to go with the flow and see who I am paired with for the four day campaign. I can't imagine I could go wrong with any of the instructors teaching at CSS. Again, thanks for the note and ride safe. Jody
  5. So how far in advance should I request a coach? I'm bringing four friends with for the August CSS at NJMP. I will be doing levels 3-4 on Monday and Tuesday and continuing for the two day school on Wednesday and Thursday. Pete was exceptional and I'd like to request him for me if possible? Is this appropriate protocal via the forums? Thanks, Jody...
  6. Great vid and appreciate the video. Hope to see you gents at T-Bolt in August. Bring the gatorade!
  7. I didn't get one prior to my two day either. Its not a big deal, just a form to complete. Takes two minutes and Trevor will take care of you.
  8. Elton, great to hear from you! I purchased another Suzuki (to match my leathers, HA!) just a 2004 track bodywork bike. If I had my druthers, I would definitely have purchased a ZX6R. Man those things were a blast. I may still get one if I can fit in a few more track days. Yes, I too will be at the 2 day camp in August. Looking forward to seeing you and the mighty Y car later this summer. Ride safe on those ducs and thanks for the note!
  9. Harry, see my other posts. Street riding is enjoyable but just a yawner since returning. I purchased a track specific bike as soon as I got back. Once you get your knee to the deck the world of motorcycling just views differently! My experience was superb!
  10. I had a fantastic time at Thunderbolt last week. I highly encourage folks who are considering the two day school to go for it. You can easily see how 30 years of fine tuning lead to an excellent experience. Pete, Cobie, Lonnie, Adam, John, Trevor, Judy et al are 100% professionals and make your time spent better than imagined. So much so that I signed up for the full four days when the team returns to NJMP. Looking forward to see folks there in August! Ride Safe! Jody
  11. Confirmed it is 7am, I spoke with Whitney this morning. I'll post up a review. Hope the weather holds. See ya there!
  12. I didn't get a package in the mail. Can someone confirm what time I should be down in the paddock area? Thanks.
  13. Just finally saw the pics on something other than my phone. Wow! That is a really talented photographer. Is there typically a photographer at the schools? What a great way to memorialize the event!
  14. I am sure that the bikes are in great shape. I was making reference to an earlier post with regard to tech. The forecast is looking better by the day as it can't possibly rain anymore here on the east coast. I think we are on day 7 or 8 of consecutive downpours. Thanks for the tips!
  15. Thanks a bunch. Being this is the two day camp I would assume that of the school's bikes are tech'd and ready to go. I'll definitely say hello Cobie.
  16. I'm couldn't be more excited to attend the two day camp at NJMP next week. The 10 day forecast is calling for rain (fingers crossed). I'm staying at the track side hotel and want to know do I just come down in the morning with my gear on and attend class? Is there a logistics kit with regard to arrival times, recommended items to bring (notepad etc.)... Thanks in advance. Looking forward to meeting some of you there.
