  1. Thanks for quick response Cobie. Very useful info as being a Brit, the Desert is VERY alien to me I have read both books over the last few weeks and now have a head full of theory and cannot wait to put it into practice. See you Sat............
  2. I am attending the 2 day camp this weekend in Vegas, other than turning up with a clear mind, any top tips.......
  3. Passed my bike test at the earliest opportunity (16yrs old) which is now 19 years ago....... I started riding when I was about 6 on a farm bike around a grass open field (my helmet had leather ear flaps!!) Been riding on the road intermittently ever since I passed my test. First road bike was a Honda 50cc Melody 2 moped!!!!!!!!!!! Progressed onto a YB 100 and then a KLX 125. First PROPER bike was a ZXR 400 Japanese import and then I went straight onto an Aprilia RSVR 1000 Mille which was awesome!! I had a brief mid-life crisis when I bought a BMW F800GS but soon realised I missed the sports scene and now have an R6 track bike and a CBR 600RR for the road. Only started riding trackdays this year and now TOTALLY hooked. I attended the Ron Haslam Race School in the UK at Donington Park and have done a few other local trackdays. Booked in to Vegas with the CSS in a couple of weeks and cannot wait.
  4. Thanks for the words of advice Cobie. I have just ordered both Twist of the Wrist books and have also read a UK Haynes published book written by Andy Ibbott so feel I will have plenty of theory in my head..............now just require the ability to put it into practice I hired a bike at the Firebird track on Sun and felt the few pointers I had already picked up from Andy'd book helped alot, so am really looking to hands on advice at Las Vegas. Very much looking forward to the weekend.
  5. Just thought I would introduce myself on the site. I am in the British Army and am currently working near Tucson, Arizona until Dec. I have managed to take the plunge and have booked myself on the 2 Day CSS course in Vegas later in the month. Currently ride an R6 Trackbike back in UK and have a 09 CBR600RR for the road. I have attended the Ron Haslam Race School which was excellent, but too short! Relatively new to the track scene and greatly looking forward to some proper instruction with the experts.
