  1. Sounds good, I was planning on using my little 250 Ninja, but im leaning more too my Buell 1125R now.
  2. I am almost ready to scrdule a class date, I just cant afford the 2 day camp for now so im looking at the 1 day at the streets in march. Would this be a good starting point or should I wait and just do a 2 day camp in the fall. I will do the 2 day camp either way, but I just want to get started for now.
  3. I have the bike now, im just in the process of installing the race body work and I need to get a set of lower clipons and rear sets.
  4. So, are you saying the ninja 250 is too slow to run track days?
  5. I am not a new rider, just new to track days. I have a Ducati 1198 that I was going to only use for track days. Now, after watching a few races at different tracks the past couple of months, im really interested in the little Ninja 250's. They just look like a blast to ride around the track. My biggest concern is using one for track days. I dont want to be in everyones way on a under powered bike. Has anyone run one or been with someone running one on the track and how do they do?
  6. Hey Whylee. I was thinking about a 250 also, but I think the limit to those would really impede your riding, especially when you're used to so much power. I'd be alright with them in a school environment, but on a trackday, it would take a lot of shifting, and would inhibit some of the things you'd work on instead of riding a bike you may have to use 2-3 different gears otherwise. Welcome to the forum, by the way. *** Can I have access to, or could someone please edit, the initial post? It's killing me. Really, I was under the impression that the smaller bike would actually let me concentrate more on techniqe. At least thats what others have been saying. I do see your point on trackdays, I would hate to get in others way because I know the little ninjas dont have the power to keep up with the big dogs.
  7. Im new here, Im from Reno NV, I have been street riding since I was 16, im now 48 and figure its time to learn the right way to ride since I have been wanting to do some track days. I currently ride a Ducati 1198, but for some reason I want a Ninja 250 to fix up for a track bike. I watched them race and they just look like a blast to ride. I will be attending a class as soon as I can financially swing it in this tough economy.
