  1. Good overall plan! As a first time track rider, if Laguna gets full, consider coming to the Streets of Willow Springs: great track, virtual guarantee on the weather, fun to ride, and good for the coaches to give lots of personal service. It has a lot of places to cut across making it the most efficient track for the coaches, hence we can spend more time with the students. Best, CF Hi Cobie, Glad to know I'm approaching it the right way. Willow Springs sounds like fun, however I don't have a truck (yet) to load my bike and come on down. I know I can use the cool BMW bikes you have (but like to save $ for more lessons/education) . Another upside is the weather - less foggy for sure. Unless there is a sweet deal (too hard to pass up) I'm planning to keep my eyes open for the 2011 class schedule (coming this week ??) and go from there. Best for me is to start with Laguna in the Spring (Level I/II) and look for a Fall 2011 in Willow (keeping fingers crossed). I look forward to learning lots from you and your fellow coaches and take my riding to the next level(s). Cheers, Klaus
  2. Hi Cobie, Thank you for the warm welcome. I agree with you on keeping my wife, she is amazing, and, she fully supports me attending the Superbike School in the Spring. I am really looking forward to it. Will do both Level I and Level II. Hope to see you and Keith Code as well. In the meantime I work on SR#1 and practice what's in the Twist of the Wrist II book. See you in the Spring on the Monterey Peninsula. Cheers, KawaKlaus
  3. Hi dmj120, Thank you for the warm welcome. HO,HO,HO.... let's see if you've been naughty or nice... Hmmm... I should put those on my Christmas list for Santa...Ho,Ho,Ho. I've been nice too. Yes, I am looking forward to Level I. In the meantime I am reading the book and see what improvements I can make/SR's I can make disappear. Where are you geographically? Are you in California? Cheers, KawaKlaus Yup, in Southern Cali. I think I've seen your screen name around, just can't remember where. You in Cali, too? Yup, I am on the Central California Coast (Monterey Peninsula) - close to Laguna Seca What are you riding? How long have you been riding? Have you been to the Superbike School? Cheers, KawaKlaus
  4. Hello Charles, WOW! How long have you been riding? What bike are you riding? How many riding school/track days have you attended? Looks like you have mastered cornering (judging by your picture) Cheers, KawaKlaus

  6. Hi Jason, Thank you for the welcome. Indeed, got to appreciate a good wife who is supportive in her husband really getting into that wonderful sport. Looking forward to some great exchanges of tips on the CSS. Cheers, Klaus
  7. Greetings fellow riders, especially Keith Code! I am new to this forum and am looking forward to attend the California Superbike School in March of 2011 at Laguna Seca. I am married and live in Salinas, CA. A bit about myself: Born and raised in Austria, been in the US for over 20 years (US Citizen as well). Had been riding the 100cc "Minibike" back in Austria as a tennager for three years. Nobody ever talked about counter steering. Go figure! My wife suggested I should get a bike and I took her up on it. Got myself a new 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 650r and have a lot of fun with it (on the weekends). I just wish I had done it sooner, because I am loving it. Got this bike so my wife and I can go on short rides together, but most of the time it's just myself. Met some very nice fellow motorcycle enthusiasts on my weekend rides and bought the Twist of the Wrist book and DVD. Am reading and watching the DVD (very good by the way) and am working on SR#1 right now. I am planning to get a true supersport bike in a year or so. But first, I need to attend the Superbike School Level I and II to learn the cornering stuff the right way. Looking forward to actually meet Keith Code and his crew in the Spring of 2011 and improve my cornering and remove those chicken strips on my tires. That's it for now. Ride Safe! KawaKlaus
