  1. I had a fantastic time at Barber, and I would like to thank all the instructors and my riding coach Josh. I can't wait for level 2. I am going to try for Jersey later this summer, but not sure if I can make it. Also, that museum is incredible. I could have spent 4-5 hours there easy.
  2. Is CSS ever going to be at New Hampshire Motor Speedway?
  3. OK got the bars in on saturday but I work all weekend so no time put them on till today. They look cool and feel great and are now almost the same grip position as the S model. I just took it for a ride and WOW! It's not even the same bike anymore. The people at Suburban Machinery were a pleasure to deal with and they sent them right out. She is all ready for CSS next week. Woo Hoo!!!
  4. You should receive a packet of info with arrival time (7am), directions and other details and liability forms. If you signed up a while ago and haven't yet received anything, call the office to make sure they have your correct email address. Thanks, I did receive the forms and mailed those a while ago. Don't remember there being anything else though. I will look tonight when I get home.
  5. Thanks and same to you; he is coming from near the St. Pete area.
  6. Will we be getting any further info in an email. Such as time to arrive and other details?
  7. See you there on the 31st for level 1. My friend and I can't wait. Oh so not looking forward to that drive from NH though. I am stopping in VA to visit sisters and I will stop once from there so it wont be too bad. My buddy is has it easy; he is only driving from FL.
  8. It is. it is an 02 that I got brand new in 08. It was actually a leftover that I got for 6500 with full factory warranty. I have little over 12k on it now.
  9. Ok I cleaned the SV today and cleaned the FZ yesterday. SV just needs lower bars and she is all ready for CSS this month.
  10. We were talking about this vid over at the FZ1 Owners Association forums. They guy clearly did not know what to do. There was one idiot on the forums that thought it was funny and called the cyclists a bunch of douches. As a cycle rider myself I took great offense to that.
  11. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think it would really matter. The school is about learning and not a race so gearing is not relevant. You will be fine with whatever you have. Focus your attention to your tires and if they are good then your all set.
  12. Thanks, I will be stopping that's for sure. I am not 19 anymore
  13. Yes indeed. I cant wait. It is going to be a good trip for sure, however, I am not looking forward to the long drive from NH to AL.
  14. All righty, I just signed up for may 31st at Barber and my buddy jacksondx1 did last week. I can't wait!!!! Going to be a fun trip.
  15. LOL, Back in the 80's a bike is all I had too for several years. That was in FL though were there is only one day of winter and if you oversleep you will miss it.
  16. Thank you all again for the info. Both my friend and I are looking forward to attending.
  17. Well up here my cold weather gear consists of a garage, motorcycle covers, battery tenders and my Toyota Corolla S or Ford Escape
  18. Thanks for the input guys. The SV it will be and I just put new Pilot Pures on it right before winter. I am bringing both bikes with me as we are also headed to the Dragon for 5 days after the class. Could I still get the deal on the tires for my FZ even though I am using the SV for the class? If so what are the tires and how do they compare to the Pilot Pures? I was going to put some on the FZ right before the trip cause they are about done.
  19. LOL that's the hard decision. I love them both, but totally different riding bikes.
  20. I suppose the SV is more nimble than the FZ and has brand new tires. Are you thinking the more nimble bike would be better?
  21. My Buddy and I are pretty sure we are going to do level 1 at Barber either may 31 or June 1. He has a 07 CBR600RR and I can either use my modded 02 FZ1 or my 07 SV650 now with new holeshot slipon and pilot pures. Which do you think would be the best choice for the class or does it even matter?
  22. Thanks, and yes it is the Lee Parks course. I think that I have made up my mind to take CSS only at this time. I am hoping to get to VIR in Aug for at least level 1. Just have to see if timing with work and finances are going to work out. In the mean time I have been reading the book and it is great info.
