  1. How is the breaking ? Do you run the bikes with the ABS on or turn it off ?
  2. My dealer us useless tbh, had the bike come back with a slack chain and they didn't even have another CST tyre for my squared off rear so I was on mixed tyres. Was a big mistake buying so new with such a cheap lower power motorcycle, should have just gone for one from the 2010's and spent the money on tool's. Fell off once cause the front wobbles on front break application even if you're really smooth on the breaks. Odd for such a low power motorcycle with low pressure breaks. My '06 cbf500 is much better on the breaks, maybe it's just the front forks.
  3. Check out those Haynes manuals, they probably have details beyond the normal consumer manual as well, or try get ahold of that more detailed manual they only sell to mechanics and hand out to dealership guys. Sometimes you can get them online as a PDF if you search.
  4. If you put them on after you've already leaned over I guess the bike would stand up due to the loss of speed meaning the lean isn't needed anymore.
  5. Do you trail off the brakes coming through the corners to reduce the rake and get better contact patch ? that's supposed to reduce the effort put into steering. I'm a newer rider, which I guess you could say is comparable to ageing riders in a way. Something I always forget is to keep taking in large breaths and control my breathing because I'm so focused on operating the bike. This could definitely lead to things such as heart attacks and a loss of concentration. You're already trying to attain that 'no-mind' meditative state, so you've got to keep the long controlled breathing up to ensure you're getting enough oxygen. I don't think the human body will be physically exerting itself enough for the brain to do it automatically during street riding. Also get your body up over the front tyre and you'll feel a lot more grip in my experience (obviously don't put weight on the handle bars)
  6. haha, was a used with about 4k miles on already, thing is with the 125cc they're so low power (12-13hp) you're on the redline revmatching all the gears just getting up to 65mph in some wind, it's like doing track days every day on something like a 500cc, so you just use up oil quicker from what I've seen and the people I've been talking too. You get a lot more of them in the UK because everyone is stuck on the CBT single day training course license, because you don't have to pass a test.
  7. In terms of MotoGP, I think Maverick Vinales and Alexi Espargaro will be closer to race wins due to Aprilia picking up a satellite team allowing for more data collection and setup testing. Then considering Yamaha vs Ducatti, obviously Ducatti have something like 8 bikes on the grid allowing for way more data collection but the new tyre pressure sensors might reveal they were just making up corner speed due to loopholes, then they go back to only being good on the straights. Overall I'd say Quartararo makes much less mistakes than Bagnaia because you can visually see at the end of 2022 Quartarao is pushing his bike so hard it's twitching around when he gets into the corners causing him to make mistakes, while Bagnaia just seems to crash out breaking into corners while the bike looks perfectly stable. Then Bastianini will probably be taking points from Bagnaia on tracks Ducatti are strong at, while Quartarao seems to make his bike work on tracks Yamaha should be behind on, so my money is on Quartarao. I think he was just unlucky in 2022 and his bike wasn't great. Cal Crutchlow kept saying the setup was all wrong and the tyre pressures weren't right, and he's been test rider there forever. Also watch out for Alex Marquez on the Ducatti because I think LCR Honda was really letting him down.
  8. I see a lot of older riders online say they just switch down to a lower capacity bike such as a cb500f or mt-03, the steering input is just less effort because the entire front just weighs less and I'd assume the smaller thinner tires turn in easier.
  9. Just been on the new 2021 cb125f for about 5months, Make sure to keep the oil checked if you're running it +60mph maxing all the gears because the 125's seem to use up engine oil up much faster than the recommended service intervals. Also grease the rear break mechanism and chain tension adjustment screws because they corrode.
