well technically you just need proper throttle control and stay connected

no handlebar inputs needed if the turning is already completely done.

its only magic to those who dont understand the science behind it

That's a pretty sweet video, but like KTK said its not quite as hard as you would initially think, I'd bet money any one of the schools coaches could do the same thing, they regularly reach out and drag fingers along the curbing and track edges for the "Reference Points" drill

Maybe we can get Keith to add a level 4 drill for this, although we won't be able to call it the "Pick-Up" drill... :P

Hee hee. :)

It reminds me of the cowboy competitions where guys would hang way off horses to pick something up at a full gallop. They still have a modern gymkhana event where the object is to grab a little flag out of the top of a small traffic cone, then put the flag back down into another traffic cone a distance away, all done at a flat out gallop, fastest time wins.

I wonder if you can set it for a smooth, even constant roll on throughout the remainder of the turn. We might have to implement a no cruise control drill in addition to no brakes to ensure good training results...

I can attest to having real cruise control on a motorcycle as supper awesome !!! but cornering at perfectly flat cruise control regulated throttle is a bit unnatural feeling if you're used to using proper throttle technique in corners.

Hey, with cruise control, we can come up with more coach hand signals - how about one where we stand up on the tank like the motorcycle cops do in parades? :) It couldn't be THAT much harder than the Wide View one, right? :)

Cruise control would definitely make it easier to wave students by on the right side without having them run up on you... Or high five you opponents with your right hand after crushing them in a race.
