  1. I am in no way, shape or form affiliated with the product below, nor am I promoting or receiving any commercial gain from it.

Now that is out of the way, after looking long and hard at many different forms of on bike video recording, the most suitable for me would be the

    DRIFT 170 HD Stealth.

It has a remote control, a built in screen, captures to SD cards(most important for editing, just drag & drop, no rendering like with tapes)

it is water resistant, big battery and doesn't make you look like a "Telly Tubby"

  2. Another great road, hwy-36 in northern california, located off I-5 in Redbluff. Two miles of I-5 thru a little town called Redbluff, you start on hwy-36, there first sidgh you come to says "Next 144 miles" with a big S- above it. 144 miles of rolling roads, big sweepers, tight turns of varying elevation, climbs to about 3,000ft , goes thru goes thru redwood groves, then to Pacific Ocean, head south to "Avenue of the Giants" driving thru some of the tallest trees in the world. Best of all you'll see maybe 12 cars in 144 miles. G-

Ahhhh, HWY 36, sweet, sweet HWY 36,,,

I'm off to Weaverville soon, to ride HWY 36 again.

All the Aussie blokes, you have to go to the U.S, its cheap as chips once you get there , the roads are

fantastic and you won't get pinged for 3KMH over by some TRG in cammo hiding in the bushes.

  3. Don't be silly, we are all millionaires (that, or fanatics  ).

Zaino, I'll see if I can find that. Came across some beeswax stuff the other day, thinking of trying that. My gloves got pretty dry about halfway through the year last year.

Seems we put our gear to levels just about unheard of anywhere else, in terms of how much they can get sweat in, w/out a break.

Poor buggers, tell you what, coz I love the CSS Family so much(no, really, I do, might even start a new thread about it) I'll bring over a traditional Aussie concoction, it's made from desert Goanna fat, Emu oil and native beeswax and give it to you at Willow Springs.

It's been used for decades in Aus, its a perfect leather conditioner.

    Works a treat.

  4. Good feedback on the gloves, wouldn't mind a bit more from the other guys.

I think I'm just going to start conditioning them like my suit.

    G'Day Cobie,

how on earth are you poor buggers going to buy Held gloves?

Well, you could, but then you wouldn't eat for a week.

I've heard what Scrooge pays you blokes,,,

  5. I met Austin at Streets of Willow earlier this month, what a beaut, unassuming young bloke he is and rides like an absolute champ.

You see top riders on the telly or at the races, but when you're on the track, man, to see him pass like you're standing still was unreal,a whole other dimension.

Watching him scorch around the bowl in front of me , elbow on the deck, had me laughing with joy at seeing such a masterful display, that alone was worth the price of admission.

Good onya matey, your career will be followed with keen interest.
