  1. Hi everyone,

I'm Allard. I'm getting back into riding after a few years away due to moving cross-country, grad school, and settling into a new job. My first day at the track was with CSS at Laguna back in 2007 on the 600s.

This time around, I have gone smaller with a Ninja 300 in the hopes of improving my riding skills.

In case anyone else is going, I'll be at VIR on Monday (8/8) and Tuesday (8/9) with my primer grey 300.

Hey Allard, nice seeing you at VIR today. Glad you're back at it!

  2. I've read that BP is covered in level 3 but not so much in level 2? I'm confused. I thought BP was covered in level 2. I hope not to be disappointed because I'm so looking forward to learning as much as I can about BP in level 2. I'm scheduled to begin the 2-day camp in August 2016. Will I also have access to use the lean bike in level 2?

    Thanks for replies.

    Hey Willsportbike,

Level 2 revolves around visual drills. Part of the level 2 curriculum is also to ride the lean bike which will cover body position. As a student at a 2-day camp you will have access at any and all of our off-track drills including the slide bike. In level 3 we focus on body position and a riders' relationship with the bike.

    See you in August!

  3. While I was going to try and list names, I know I would forget someone. So, to all the staff and coaches at last weeks 2 Day school; thanks for a great time, safe school, and wonderful experience. Things have sure changed in 30 years, and for the better!!!!!

I do want to thank my coach Ian for being patient with helping me knock of the rust and few bad habits!!!!

If anyone is on the fence, its a great investment and incredibly fun!

    Thanks!!!

Great having you, DLHamblin. I am always stoked to see a father and son attending the school together. My Dad was the one who introduced me some years ago.

I will pass this along to Ian.

    Cheers!

  4. First off, Welcome to the forum DLHamblin!

The 2016 S1000 is indeed a bit taller than your 2015 GSX-R1000 but, not by much. The S1000 sits at 32.1 inches compared to the GSX-R at 31.9 inches.

Our lowered seat reduces the seat height by about 1.5 inches. Its best to request it ahead of time. It can be requested by calling our office at (323) 224-2734 before the event or as a last resort you can request it the day of the event during registration.

Looking forward to seeing you and your son in May!

  5. Hey Connor,

Welcome to the forum. Glad to see you here.

As a repeat offender student I have to say I'm always amazed at the dedication you guys have and the efficiency in which things get run on school days. Not having to worry about fuel in the bike or the condition of the tires is amazing for helping us focus 100% on just the learning. Look forward to seeing you guys at Barber this 2016 season hopefully.

    rchase,

Its easy to stay dedicated while working with such an awesome group of people. The school is definitely a well oiled machine.

Hope to see you at Barber!

  6. Connor;

As a corner worker at NJMP for the last five years or so, I was usually assigned to the garage with Will. With refueling the fleet coupled with taking Bob's truck into Millville for gas or repairing the School's bikes whenever they needed repairs or changing tires between sessions, track time was a precious commodity for me. I always appreciated the help that you and Trevor provided me as my track time was always limited. Now that you're up here I can offer you my thanks directly and Welcome to the Forum.

    Kevin,

You've earned every bit of track time you've received. The cornerworkers and mechanics helpers are an integral part of the school, not only to keep everyone safe but to also keep things running smoothly. Our appreciation is mutual B) Thanks for having me.

  7. Hey Everybody,

My name is Connor aka. Moto34. I coach for the school here in U.S. In early 2013 I got hired on as Course Control Assistant (Helping maintain safety and control on the racetrack during the school days). Later that year I began my coach training and haven't missed a school day since. I am currently a Class II (Certified Coach). Along with coaching I drive one of the schools' big rigs to the different racetracks around the country. As if that didn't keep me busy enough, I've now begun helping out with some Admin duties here on the forum. Many of the members here have been involved with the school and this forum long before my time, I am excited to become involved with our on-line community and help out all I can!

    Cheers!
