  1. Domina,

You are here by (is that hyphenated) relieved of any and all duties pertaining to but not excluding the thread and all communique's wrtten on or about the last part of March and the early part of April. ( I watched court tv last night)

This was your thread. You made all this possible. None of this would have happened, the crazy monologues, the countdown from thirty, Kevin trying to sabotage the event (R-word), HotFoot, Cobie, Rondre3000, JayBird (interrupted with Willow count-down), Alaska Benchracer. All because of you. And now the end is near we've come to face the final curtain (theres a song in there somewhere) and you want to let us down....I'm speechless.

Those are a lot of words for a speechless man.

And, I can by no means take credit and/or blame for this. (I just posted a video I thought was relevant-other people do it!) I believe it is what is known as "mass hysteria". And, I am quite thankful to have others share in the madness-sooo glad I'm not the only one. Although I doubt that any nagging technical concerns have been addressed, I've found it quite therapeutic and, hopefully, so have others.

How?! What?! Letting who down? I accepted the mantle for one day. What more is expected of me?

  2. Good move. You have no idea what was about to happen...

    Ok....I give up?

    First, the sky would fall.

Then there would be crazy German hardcore with bagpipes.

And creepy looking guys in long leather skirts beating each other bloody.

    Just so you know.....

I just don't know what to say to that...

Wow, you covered a lot of ground to get from Sesame Street to THAT!

I'm missing the Sesame Street, too.

    Heartbreaker!

In my opinion, the correct reply would be:

"Domina is hereby and forever relieved of any and all countdown responsibilities."

    I all about responsibility-free!

BTW-if I'm leaving on Saturday and Fossil's leaving on Saturday.....

  6. Domina,

I just wanted to remind you one more time that we have TEN days left....

Oh. I see. 23 was a typographical error as well. You meant 2 OR 3!

And, my deepest apologies for not going back far enough in the entertainment timeline. Though, it is good to see you've learned to access this new-fangled technology so you can be sure to look up what comes after ten when counting backwards.

(Face it, you were Michael Jacksoned. There's no coming back from that.)

And, sorry for the delayed response. A cook-out (Hyphenated, like numerical conjunctions such as twenty-one, etc. hehehe.) sounds wonderful. It will be great to actually meet everyone. However, in case you missed it, Kevin "Rainman" Kane has threatened to grace us with his presence-in order to bring down the torrential monsoons of the apocalypse, no doubt. So, it may have to be a cook-in.

It seems my travel dates have been extended so, I'll have to catch up on the on-line repartee more orrow as I am hitting the road in SEVEN days and just have that much more to deal with. (Aside from having to try to sleep at some freakishly early hour-in Hollywood!-so that I can get up at some other ungodly hour as training for arriving at the track at least semi-conscious. Yes, I know. In TEN days.)

The MJ video was great! I have you know, I spent a good part of the afternoon trying to best you! Well done Domina.

    P.S. 23 was a typographical error.

You shouldn't have wasted your time. I have horrible images forever emblazoned in my memory to the tune of Europe's "Final Countdown".

I had to look up rutabaga.

  7. I thought since we (our group) was going to be staying in Monterrey for a week, Sat. thru Fri., we might invite a few of you guys over for some grillage. Nothing fancy just a chance to say hello to old and new friends. We can't cook for everyone but I thought that those that have been a part of Domina's thread might like to join us. Maybe we could do it Wednesday night? I will let you guys know something later.

Nothing is happening if you don't post the number.

  11. OK, we talked about this a little before, but it got a little off the subject, so lets take another look at this. What conditioning, training, exercises, and even diet have you found has worked well for agressive riding?

It would also be good if any of the girls would post what has helped them.

    CF

Sorry, Cobie. Missed this earlier as I'm sure all the girls did. Maybe Hotfoot will come over and show you some love now that she's revealed her true identity, or, at least gender. (We really don't want to have to go looking for our keys!) Don't have time for a full response now as I feel I may need to include the before and after details. But, before I'm interrupted by this pesky day job, I'd like to test a theory. (This is for all of you.)

Sit cross-legged on the floor and tell me which knee is higher. (Yeah. Go ahead and try it with the other leg in front, too.)

    Thanks!!!

  12. As for you, Mr. Kane,

I notice you made no attempt to curse AB. What gives?

    Domina;

One man's curse is another man's public service announcement...but you may be on to something with that curse thing. Of the four times I've been at Laguna, it's rained three days. Hey since I will be in the area, do you want me to drop by?

    Kevin

    See what happens?

    Come on down.

And, if it floods up in Sac. this winter, we can go up and do a nice river ride along the levees. Trust me, it's all kinds of fun.

  13. www.vimeo.com/3950837 A ride around Jennings GP. I mounted my camera facing the rear to get some video of a friend. A beautiful day at a little track out in the middle of nowhere. The track was designed by Ed Bargy and has a great set up out of turn one, a long left hander into a 120 mph left hander then a very technical back section.....www.jenningsgp.com/thetrack.htm

I will continue the countdown in the a.m.

You're going to have so much more fun pointing and laughing while I putt around the track now!

Need me some cameras, though..... Just for when someone decides to park their SUV on my foot-again.

  14. Hello from Alaska,

I'm so stoked to have gone from 15th on the waiting list, to now being a student for the April 15th CSS at Laguna Seca. I've had my fingers crossed for two weeks, hoping for the call, and now I'm in. WOW.

I'll be attending the class with my brother-in-law and this is the first formal riding class for both of us. I'm a little nervous, and anxious, to see just what this CSS is all about. Honestly, I've only ridden on a track one other time. I've read the TOTW books, and a few others, but that's reading... not riding. I hope I can come away with a foundation I can build upon. I'll be doing trackdays on Thunderhill Raceway this summer, and I really need good training. Thanks CSS. See you at the track !!!!!!! :D:ph34r:

    AB;

There's the whole other thread about others going to Laguna Seca that you might want to join in...they count down the days, they substitute for each other to count down the days, they talk about the responsibility of counting down the days, they talk about the pressure of counting down the days...and they don't know how to use spell-check.

In all seriousness congratulations on getting in. Laguna is an awesome track, the surface itself is just about perfect and the School is, well you'll find out.

Let us know how it goes and make sure you say hello to Fossil, Domina and Hotfoot because the three of them have created a ton of enthusiasm for the Laguna School. A group of us from the Forum got together at Infineon School a few weeks ago and had a lot of fun and it is a lock that you will too.

    Kevin

    AB,

And, we're all stoked for you!! You'll definitely learn a lot and improve-there's a reason they guarantee that. It will be a blast and, you'll be back for more. I think Fossil, Hotfoot, Jaybird and I will be at the track the day before but, you're welcome to jump in on the thread. Just don't confuse Fossil and mess-up his countdown. He gets a little grumpy when he's flustered.

    As for you, Mr. Kane,

I notice you made no attempt to curse AB. What gives?

Spell-check. Yet another of the many banes of my existence...

Sorry, I won't be able to attend Laguna with you guys. My fun in PST ended at The Streets. I'm now back on the right coast.

    Awww.

How come no reports on Willow? Don't be scared. Go ahead and share.

  15. Wow,

What happened! Hotfoot is a she not a he! Domina is correcting my spelling! JayBird just chimes in anytime he likes and now Kevin drops the "R" word! Holy ######! This is unacceptable people! I'm going to bed.

Gee, hate to nitpick, but I think you spelled ##### wrong, too.

And, Fossil thought I wouldn't want you here. Silly, silly boy.

  17. Where have you been Hotfoot? You are going to Laguna Seca and you are just finding this thread!

Domina, should we let him in?

And yes correct the damn spelling...you have made me paranoid about it now. Just that much more pressure to deal with...I might have to assign Hotfoot a count down day.

Noooo... don't hang that awesome responsibility on me, clearly I have not been keeping up with things on the forum adequately, so best not to trust me with the countdown (is this the agreed-upon spelling?) just yet. Oh, and I'm a "her", not a "him", just so ya know. And yes, I am the one that Cobie got with the kill-switch trick - he pulled up really close so I thought he had something really important to tell me... then he killed my engine and zipped away.

Where will you guys be coming from? What Level will you be riding? Have you ridden Laguna before, and did you make sure your bike is quiet enough?

And, you, too, feel my pain! Why me? (I don't think anything's agreed upon. But, good one.) Sorry, I should know better! Cob's dating himself-that's hella old school. You're lucky he didn't take off with your key.

I'm riding up from LA-Kevin needs to stop the evil, soggy thoughts-on a leisurely run up the PCH. Leaving Saturday, staying over in San Simeon, and then hitting Monterey on Sunday. Haven't done Seca, only Willow. Riding one of the ZXs.

  18. Yes, those are my words.

    FOURTEEN DAYS

Would you like me to correct the spelling? :P

I just discovered this crazy thread, and I want to let you lunatics know I'll be there, too. In fourteen days. Look forward to meeting you. :) I WAS trying to work, now I have this countdown going on in my head!!!

I guess I better go home and start stuffing steel wool into my aftermarket exhaust pipe, Laguna is COMING UP SOON!!

Don't forget the ginko (Ginkgo. Biloba is optional.)and the Echinecea (Gold Star!!)

I guess I better go home and start stuffing steel wool into my aftermarket exhaust pipe, Laguna is COMING UP SOON!! Fourteen days. I can't wait and, I have way too much to do!!!

  20. Where have you been Hotfoot? You are going to Laguna Seca and you are just finding this thread!

Domina, should we let him in?

Are you kidding?! Hotfoot just volunteered to cover countdown the next time you choose shirk your duties to run off and have fun! (Congratulations on the new times, BTW.)

And yes correct the damn spelling (See below.)...you have made me paranoid about it now. Just that much more pressure to deal with...I might have to assign Hotfoot a count down day. (See above.)

"I knew when I started the count down ("countdown" is the Americanism, otherwise, "count-down") that certain responsibilities came with the job. This count down is too important to be left to those not up to the task. (i.e., Domina) The baton was passed and I must keep going till (??? "until" would be proper, " 'til" is commonly accepted but, you till the soil.) the end."
