  1. I am looking for new leathers was just looking for some input from you. I was looking at the AGVsport laguna like the css instructors wear. Like the way they look plus they look pretty comfortable. Just not 100% sure if i want to buy top grain or full grain. I hear top grain is really soft and comfortable but they are only one crash suits then need repair dont know if that is what i want to do in the event of a crash. Was also looking and Alpinestars like the gp pro suit. Would like to be safe and comfortable and have good features like venting and fit and stay around $1000. All the help would be greatly appriciated.

  2. Jason thank you for the reply. That does make a lot of sense. I do not do much track riding. Iam trying to do more so i can only think of examples on the street. One would be starting out from a stop and turning which doesnt use much speed or lean. Another i can think of is long sweeping turns that dont use any real breaking to control speed entry. Please correct me if i am wrong.

  3. Ok we all know adding throttle and lean angle is bad but is it alright to hold a constant throttle and lean at the same time and if so when is it appropriate? I think this question has been eating me up a little bit looked at tow2 dont remember seeing anything but i might just be blind. I thank you for your help in advance.

  4. Hey whats up guys another lurker here,

Well my first experiance on a motorcycle was riding 2 up on a friends cbr600 while i was stationed in Germany for two years between 2003-2005 while in the Air Force. My friend took me out for a quick ride around some back roads just so i could see what it was like, right at that moment I was hooked. I think i fell for the open feeling that you cant get from a car. It took me a while to get my first bike though didnt get it untill 2009 and i was so glad i did. Took css level 1 in May at Thunderbolt and cant wait to go back in September for level 2

  5. PhillyJoey, welcome to the board and congrats on signing up for Level 1. You can expect to meet a great group of folks that also have the same goals in mind of becoming a safe and better riders. Come well rested, eager to learn and be ready to have a great time.

Are there particular areas of your riding that you feel could improve and make you a safer rider? What prompted you to take the first step?

I took the first step because after I took the PA motorcycle safety program I realized that everything was done at a really low speed 10-15 mph. They had a lot of useful information but nothing really on braking or how much a bike could really handle. Once i saw this school I knew it was somthing I wanted to do. I could use some help in entry speed and turning points. I was also looking for some advice for using my bike, set up etc. I will be using my 2002 zx6r. Would love to use the new BMW but just cant really afford that right now.

  6. I am heading to thunderbolt for level 1 on may 14th, I was just wondering what to expect or advice anyone could give me. I have only been riding for approx a year but want to get better so i am a safer rider so i think any advice would help. Also looking for other people that will be attending level one that day. Thank you in advance.
