  1. I see many types of gloves that you guys use but which glove gives the best protection? This is the first thing I look at when purchasing gloves. I currently use Alpine Stars racing gloves. They have good built in protection around the wrist to protect the Scaphoid, excellent padding on the outside of the palm and strategically put protection on the back side of the hand. These gloves are very well made.

Hey I would say knox handroids are the best.I also have the gp tech gloves, which I think you are referring to but much prefer the feel and levels of protection in knox. The knox has these polythene pucks that act as sliders instead of thicker leather which can survive a crash but due to the impact force blow open the stitching, this however changes with the pucks which slide and disperse the energy and slide with out hooking on the asphalt. The feel is better as well as its kangaroo leather which is thinner and lighter than cow hide leather and 50% more abrasive resistant. Unfortunately the down fall for these gloves is that it doesn't have the dtc that the a-stars has,the attachment between pink and second to last finger.I feel the exo skeleton I believe is more protective than the a-stars knuckle protection. Also the a-star has more venting. All in all they are both great but knox for me though i have them bothrolleyes.gifrolleyes.gifrolleyes.giftongue.gifcool.gif.Watch this video it may help.

Welcome to the forum Chris! Which school are you looking to attend and what kind of riding are you into... street, racing, etc.?

  4. The sound of the bike. For some reason as a child i always loved seeing motorcycles and more importantly the sound those beautiful sonorous revs from the pipes. They give me goose bumps here writing about it.I feel in love with motorcycles even more when i found out about moto gp back in 2000.Seeing these guys lean so low and ride so hard and the sound of those engines roar from the screamers to the big bangs its just spine tingling.Motorcycles have given me a true meaning to my life.I would love to race but got to learn 1st and hopefully this year i will attend css and catch 1 of the gp races either indy or laguna and be around to go to school.I'm from Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean so hi to all by the way and best wishes for the new year.
