That is all well and good for well known models from Dunlop etc. Here in India...there is very little data available for race tires made by local manufacturers.
-
One observation i have made - Moto3 and Moto2 guys just dump the clutch after downshifting.MotoGP guys, specially Rossi let the clutch out gently at the end.Just slow down the release the last few millimeters.

A little on the lower side seems preferable to being on the higher side, per anecdotes.I have however not found concrete guidelines on how to choose pressures for the track.
-
I make it a point to verify advice for myself, in a controlled environment of course.Heard and observed a lot of BS about launching until i figured what works and doesn't, for instance.

Thanks.Any more recommended reads?

Yep, i saw his company Catalyst Reaction was a sponsor of the CSS.Wondered if you guys took classes or something.Ahh America....so many opportunities there.Sigh..
-
It was his classes that got me wondering.350 bucks it seems....care to try Robert?

Hi Guys,
Has anyone attended a suspension school or had coaching for technical stuff? I am curious to know how you all learn about the technical aspects of bike setup.
How do you improve your bike along with your riding?
-
Cobie, as a coach with a ton of experience can you tell the difference if the bike has lost or gained 1-2 psi?

Pecard's leather dressing and Skidmore's Leather Cream are at the top of my list after some research as far as leather conditioners go.There are also some equine products - Effax Lederbalsam and Passier Lederbalsam which are highly thought of.Others like Oakwood conditioner and Obenauf's are also spoken highly of.
Pecards makes a motorcycle leather kit you might want to check out.

AAH i was looking at this also. How has it served you? How has it held up?

I see.I will be using my jacket [ have procured a 2 piece suit ] daily. So i think i will need to take care of it more.Any inexpensive undersuit you guys recommend for the track?
-
IMO, it's best to practice without aids.

Mid-Late Nov is when everything is finalized if i recall correctly.

Hey Guys,
I am finally getting a full kit of gear.I wanted to ask you all how you maintain it.Anything specific you do to your Helmet, Leathers, Gloves or Boots to keep them in good shape?
I was thinking of some kind of leather conditioner and waterproof for the leathers, gloves and boots to start with.Any suggestions?
Anything else i should know of? I ride in a hot climate, quite dusty also.Any deodorizing agents or something you guys use? Please advice as i am in the dark regarding this.

This is Stage 1 so to speak.Marquez is stage 2 lol....
-
This is what i am talking about.Note the angle of his forearm and slightly opened fingers.
-
COnsider trying to find out what you don't like about rights and working on it.Try relaxing your grip and opening the index and middle finger a bit.

I thought it was the hard front tyre that caused Lorenzo to slip back.
-
Reminds me of Phillip Island and the Sachsenring.Always wondered how they managed there.
-
Are those hot or cold pressures?
-
Wes - I think that is a picture of a rear tire? You might want to get your suspension set up checked. The tire is suffering a bit when you are leaned over and gassing it, hence the feeling of a loss of traction.
-
I am waiting for the answers.

Good point, but for some reason it seemed like someone kicked the front away from them....just a sudden crash.
I wonder if we should have a " Crash Stories " thread...where we can discuss crashes we have had.

It is a bad idea to preload the shifter, but hotfoot has explained the process very well.I think people should put up videos if possible so that we can compare technique.
