Tman Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 I've heard great things about the school and plan to attend in October but have a helmet related question. I plan on using my own bike (SV650SF) and full face helmet and using the school leathers/boots. Does the helmet have to be SNELL/DOT certified or is ECE/DOT certified okay? Thanks
bradvanhorn Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 This is what is described in the confirmation letter sent to each student by CSS before a school: "SAFETY EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Full Leathers (two-piece must zip together) * AEROSTICH suit is OK * Helmet Snell or DOT Approved * Boots * Full-fingered Gloves. Check the weather. If it is going to be cold, dress accordingly."
Tman Posted August 12, 2011 Author Report Posted August 12, 2011 Much thanks. That's what I needed to know. This is what is described in the confirmation letter sent to each student by CSS before a school: "SAFETY EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: Full Leathers (two-piece must zip together) * AEROSTICH suit is OK * Helmet Snell or DOT Approved * Boots * Full-fingered Gloves.
