Lack Of Front Fender A Problem?

I am taking the course in April with my 98 CBR 600. I had to take off my front fender because it broke. Not having it doesn't appear to cause any handling differences. Is it ok to show up to class without a replacement? I will eventually get a new one, but finances at the moment are putting it down the list. Thanks
