stewartoc Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 I've been trying to attend the school for almost a year but something comes up. Well, I'm hoping to attend level 1,2 in the next 30 days and instead of spending the money on renting the awesome S1000RR I'd rather use it to do level 2. Problem is I'm down to a single bike this year which happens to be a big sport tourer, the ST1300. Am I going to be the only oddball on the track with a big touring bike? Although, in the TOWII DVD I did see an ST1300 kicking the fancy Repsol CBR and the R6's butts
Kevin Kane Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Am I going to be the only oddball on the track with a big touring bike? Stewart; You'll be fine on that bike. Rainman
warregl Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 I completely agree with Rainman. There are all types of bikes at CSS. I hear there have even been full dress Harleys. After all the priciples still apply. As my granddad used to say, "It's usually the Indian, not the arrow." Good luck with the classes, you will be really glad you took them. Best, Carey
chipset Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 My first track day ever, I took out my FJR1300 and was putting down some decent lap times. If my old FJR could do it, your ST will be just fine. You will enjoy better air protection..
