Hey all just wanted to introduce myself. My names Aren and i will be attending CSS for the first time on Oct 1st at Sonoma. Im really looking forward to this as it will be my first "track day." I will be taking my own bike to the class and have been working to get it ready. I recently bought new tires which i will scuff up a little before the class. Also i got the bike set up for my weight. I will be changing my oil, coolant, adjusting chain and cleaning it within the next few days. Also picked up some used race fairings for cheap so I wont be worried about harming my nice expensive plastics.

I notice that my wrists tend to hurt when i wear my gauntlets. I think its because they arent broken in yet or it could be my levers arent adjusted properly or maybe both?

It is REALLY common to see riders with levers adjusted too high, forcing the rider to bend the wrist, that could definitely be a cause.

Are the gauntlets too tight when you fasten them over your leathers? If so they could be creating a pressure point at the wrist seam.

It also could be a break in issue but I don't know that it's such a good idea to try to ride through that - who knows how long it will take to correct or even if they will ever loosen up enough? You could try soaking that part of the glove with water then riding to try to force them to stretch faster, but if they feel uncomfortably tight and you have any possibility of exchanging them, you may want to just change them.

Raziel;

Are they the right size? I have tried to ride with gloves that fit too tight and decided I needed to replace them; you use your hands as much as any part of your body on a bike and discomfort can be a real distraction.

I will try adjusting the levers and see if that helps. The gauntlets don't feel too tight at all, they feel just right. My fingers have room at the ends but not too much so that it fits really loose. I'll try soaking my hand and riding with the glove and hope that helps break them in more quicker. When it comes to adjusting the levers should i adjust them when im in a tuck position or a more upright position?

They actually feel fine, not too tight and have a little wiggle room at the tips. I will admit i had to adjust my levers for the extra protection gauntlets have. I had to adjust them outwards more since when i would pull the clutch it would hit the armor. Also I'm not used to riding in gauntlets but i don't find it uncomfortable.
