Hotfoot
I heard a rumor on another forum that there are plans to build a new spectator bridge at Barber from the Museum over the track to view the Museum turn and the track beyond. What a cool idea!
ScrmnDuc
Rumor control has it that the bridge will access the museum expansion that is to be inside the track.
rchase
VERY cool. I have often been known to observe from the upper levels of the museum before a track day or school. Being able to get beyond the glass would be great for hearing and seeing better.
rchase
Hey. Rumor no longer. Take a look at the Barber Museum Facebook page. Construction has started. https://www.facebook.com/BarberMuseum
rchase
Construction on it is finished. Here's what it looks like coming out of the Museum corner.
Hotfoot
That is so cool! Can't wait to see it in person.
rchase
I was concerned that it would change the perspective of the exit of the museum corner but they put a lot of thought into the placement and construction. Low solid bridges with supports close to the edge of the track always seem to "pinch" the space visually for me. This one has the supports behind the barriers on each side. Since you can see mostly though the structure it's like it's not even there.
