When your sitting still, let the clutch out VERY slowly and find the "gray area". The gray area is just as the clutch begins to bite, but not enough to propel the bike forward. THEN slowly let it out and add gas. Dont think of the clutch as an on/off type switch, there's lots of area in between. Practice finding the gray area and clutching the bike will become a no brainer.
