  1. Biggest thing i need to work on is entry speed on blind corners. I sometimes have a tendency to 'freeze up' before dropping into a blind turn, which doesn't do anything but cause more problems
  2. Good question. I would say that my strongest point is the drive exiting the corners.
  3. I am not sure, but it could be related to the profile of the Pilot Powers. They do have a slightly more angular shape to them compared to the rounder shape of pirellis or bridgestones, which could make it dip in faster. Also could be related to tire pressure, what pressures are you running?
  4. No problem at all. I am glad it worked for you like it worked for me
  5. First of all, very good post! I have been fortunate enough not to hit any walls and unfortunate enough not to participate in any races thus far, but I can relate to you in regards to target fixation. I have noticed sometimes that if my mind is not "right" that I am mentally telling myself to look through the turn and not at a specific object I would much rather avoid. If i am riding with a "clear" head it seems that everything just clicks and I can focus all of my mental energy on my riding. The best thing to do is put everything on the back burner and concentrate on the job at hand. Your success (and safety) could very well depend on this. Of course, saying it is one thing and doing it is another
  6. Good point. I know that when i had the stock calipers and Galfer HH pads on my 2006 ZX-10R that i had to keep the lever all the way out to keep it from making contact with my knuckles after a hard stint. It was absolutely horrible!
  7. No problem If you don't mind, let us know how it works out for you when you get a chance to test it out
  8. The thing that helped me was to adjust the brake lever so it came a little closer to the bar when braking. After a little trial and error I got the lever in a comfortable position so that I can blip and brake effectively without having to put any thought into it. Also, it helps to have the brake lever positioned lower than the grip so that you don't have to reach up when braking. Again, trial and error works best here. Make an adjustment, go for a ride and see how you like it. Hope this helps!
  9. I typically just do some squats and leg stretches before a good ride. If i don't then my upper thighs tend to feel very tight, keeping me from getting my knee out naturally, which is a big distraction for me.
  10. I am interested to hear what sort of stretching you guys do before a race/track day.
