  1. Until last weekend I was primarily focusing on cardio - 45 minutes on a treadmill maintaining 135bpmHR 4 days a week. Now I'm more concerned about healing - I wrecked my mountain bike, scrambled my brain (no memory of the accident), fractured my eye socket and broke my wrist. Now I’m waiting to find out if I need surgery on my wrist (dr. said something about plates and screws). I’m also waiting to find out when I’ll be back at 100%. I was hoping to attend in June at Barber, but now I might have to wait until August. Not a happy camperA
  2. Cobie, What do you use and what does the school rent out?
  3. Actually - this is going to be a great oportunity to test drive the ZX6 before I buy one. I've read several articles about it and none have really said anything bad about it. I'm not really too worried about it. I doubt I'll be the first stunt in the school's history that arrived having never ridden a super bike. I'm certain it can be handled. I was just curious to know if the school did anything specific to speed things along. Just throw us on the bikes and send us out?
  4. Thing are looking good for signing up in June - I'm just waiting on my next gig to get setup so that I know where my pay check is coming from. anway - I'm going to rent one of the schools bikes. I've been riding an EX500 for nearly a year and have gotten to know it pretty well. I commute to work on it just about everyday. How does the school deal with people jumping on bikes they have no experience with (not to mention twice the power in my case)?
  5. So I just got a helmet camera and I am wondering if I could bring it along in June. I would love to be able to grab a couple of videos that capture my progress over the weekend. Would this be allowed? I think it would be cool to catch the first lap on Saturday, the last lap on saturday and then the last lap on Sunday. I wouldn't want the camera to interfere with class though.
  6. It looks like I've got the family's approval to go to class. Just a matter of delivering on a few minor bribes....Nothing much . The greatest thing is that it has gotten my butt in gear so I'm working out again and watching my diet. My goal is to be in good enough shape that I won't be running out of juice when we get to the second day. So I'll be seeing you guys at Barber in June.
  7. Thanks. I know how to ride at this point. I've taken the MSF class and gotten a class M endorsement. In two weeks I take the experienced riders course. I also commute to and from work on my bike. So I'm pretty confident that I can ride. But I want to be able to Ride. So I'm saving up to go to school
  8. I too would be really interested in the reply to this question. I started riding back in May. I have a fair amount of experience autocrossing and time trials, but I'm pretty green on a bike. I'll have 3000 miles under my belt by the end of this week. By June when I take the class I plan to have 10000.
