cammyontheback
Chief, I've always been hesitant to run full synthetic oil in a bike with a wet clutch. I seem to be in the minority. With regard to clutch wear only, and all other factors regarding clutch use and oil changes/servicing normal, how will it stack up? All things being equal, will it increase the chances of my clutch slipping, and premature clutch wear? My bike is mostly street, some track. Thanks, Mark
khp
Just make sure that the oil is graded for motorcycle use and you should be good to go. It will say something like "API SF/CD/MB". The S rating is for gasoline (car) engines, the C rating is for diesel, and the M-rating is for motorcycle engines which use the engine oil to lubricated the clutch and gearbox.
