faffi Posted October 28, 2012 Report Posted October 28, 2012 Unless you want results revealed, do not go down this post and read. Watching the race and Pedrosa tipping over, it looked to me like Pedrosa was both going slower AND leaning further than Stoner. I'd love to hear one or more of the coaches talk me through the last 50-100 metres and up through the fall to see if I'm onto something.
mugget Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 I'm no coach, but this may help answer you question: On the broadcast I watched, Stoner said that the track is very bumpy if you go wide at Turn 4 (where Pedrosa crashed), and that it's very easy to crash if you get out there. He also said that there's really only a narrow section of track on that corner that is smooth, the rest of it gets rippled up by cars etc. so trying to brake late and running wide in that particular spot... we saw what happens! Hope that helps.
