It does cover the ankle, it is a motorcycle specific boot, that's good. It would be a little better if it went higher up. If you have all the other gear, and want to use a set of our boots, we can likely sort you out easily (won't be the full rental charge either). A few years ago their boots were a bit stiff, didn't fit everyone perfectly, but 2 pairs of socks handled that.
