All the bst Andy Ibbott School Director Hi and thanks for the reply Andy. I have been riding for about 6 months now on an Aprilia RS 50 on a Provisional License. I do not have a race license and havent raced. Thank's Kris.

  4. Hi there, Ok, so we send a list of hotels close to the circuit that you can book if you need. We usually stay in the same hotel so we can give you a lift to the circuit and back each day. As for rain, It's ENGLAND! so who knows? )) I look forward to meeting you. All the best Andy School Director Europe, Middle East, South Africa
  5. Hi There, I will bet that every Level One student who is going to be on your day will be nervous too! Don't worry, we understand this and we have done our very best to ensure that you will be in a group of similar levelled riders. We have 2 groups of Level One students on that day so we are able to make the level within each group similar. We only use a track as it gives you, the student, a high number of corners in a controlled environment. We are not a Track Day operator and the rules we have on the schools are there to make your learning quicker, easier and comfortable. Our rules are strictly enforced to ensure this. Looking forward to seeing you at Sivlerstone! All the best Andy Ibbott School Director (Europe, Middle East, South Africa)
  6. Hi Robin, We might have to get a Slide Bike made for SA because of the distance needed to transport one. I will need to take a look at the area at the track to see if there is enough room to run it. I know we could at Welcom but I am nort sure about others. See you in November, Andy
  7. Hi, We are not due to run at Cadwell this year so you are correct, Rockingham will be the nearest. Remeber that even though you will come to Rockingham, all the drills we teach you you will be able to use at Cadwell too! All the best Andy
  8. Hi Telis, We change the pressure for more in the front because the front tyre has more work to do under braking than the rear can through accelerating. On a track this is important as you don't want the front tyre to deform too much under braking, at the same time you don't want it too hard so the contact patch is too small. Are you going to the one in Athens? If so use lots of Throttle control (Level 1), Pick drill on the exit (Level 2) and Hook Turns (Level 3) all these will help to keep the bike stable and you confident. All the best Andy Ibbott
  9. Heck! It sure gave me a headache after 20 minutes! Andy
  10. CSS Student Thomas Luthi finished on the Podium in 3rd spot at the Estoril GP at the weekend. Despite working over the telephone as we had Schools in Greece we were still able to help him get on the front row! Next stop - China, a track no-one has ridden... All the best Andy
  11. CSS in Europe have been training 125GP rider Thomas Luthi with great success! At the GP at the weekend in Jerez, Spain he qualified on the front row for the first time in his career. He then went on to lead the race by over 2 seconds from the following pack until he had to retire with a broken bike. We will keep you posted on his progress as the season continues. All the best Andy Ibbott (CSS Europe/Middle East)
  12. Hi V, Looks like we will have to get the No BS bike to our Greek Schools! I will speak with 0-300 and see what can be done. All the best Andy Ibbott School Director (Europe)
  13. Get on the Slide bike! I learnt by riding in the wet (ok, I'm in the UK so it's possible far too often) and then went on to do it on the street and finally for photo sessions for the magazines I used to work for. However, on a photo shoot becuase it has to be done in a particular place and point you have to go against ALL the good rules. 1. Carve a really tight arc 2. Drill it on HARD 3. If it isn't spinning then push the bike under you (Arrgh I hear all CSS Instructors cry!) with more throttle until it breaks away then NAIL IT. Looks ok for pictures and does give you a really good handle on sliding.
  14. I'm not sure if you have them in the US but we find the Dunlop 207RR to be a perfect choice. They run for days and heat cycles don't seem to give them a problem, namely I have yet to see a set go 'blue' on us.
  15. Hi Guys, One thing we have been working on here in the UK is a 'live' version of the brake and downshift drill. So far we have had good results but it is surprising how much of the actions you do without thinking. Paul is coming over to the US later in the year and I know Keith is keen to see what he has come up with....
  16. Hi, Take it all on board. Dirt riding is a very good start then 250 to 600 and finally 1000s. Going to the question you first posted and talking strictly street trim I found the R1 to be the easiest to ride the fastest of all 4 bikes. The Honda was bottom of the list. That steering damper needs throwing in the bin! Trying to flick the bike through Esses it would tigten up! As did my arse!
  17. Here in the UK locking the front brake is an important part of any advanced road based training. What is not understood is just how ###### the rear brake is. In Nortern Ireland most crashes involving over braking come from the rear brake!
  18. Hi, The 'home' track is the Streets of Willow I like Laguna myself but then I'm a Brit... All the best Andy Ibbott School Director (Europe)
  19. Cool, Let's see how you have got on when you come in August. All the best Andy
  20. Hi Guys, We do indeed have Stomp pads now in the UK and they are flying out the door! Give me a call or order them online at www.superbikeschool.co.uk All the best Andy
