  1. At what level do you guys teach proper body positioning? I did level one and it was awesome. But didn't learn anything about body positioning. I was just keeping my butt in the seat, not trying to drag a knee or anything. I was actually trying to keep my knees tucked in. I was moving my head into the turn and looking like I was suppose to. Here's me, #5 on the blue R1.
  2. Only thing I don't do myself is anything that has to do with the engine internally and tire changes. I also don't touch the forks or suspension. Everything else I do myself.
  3. Daaaamn!!! I would of rather camped out there than stay in that depressing motel room lol.
  4. I was in yellow group . I had the blue 12' Yamaha R1, #5. Yeah, i drank about 12 bottles of water and half a pedialite. By 2pm I was putting cold bottles and cold wet towels on my neck and head. On my last session, the drill was to relax on the bars. I completed that and I was spent. My headache came back twice as bad and I had nausea with dizziness. I almost went off into the dirt on turn 4. I told myself that was it. Spoke with my coach and he told me to sit out if I couldn't continue. I pretty much went back to my truck and changed out of my leathers. I am just not built for the heat. I have been like this since I was 11 years old. I can ride all day in cold weather. The cold don't bother me at all. And I'm from San Diego, go figure lol.
  5. I just wanted to say thank you to the staff at CSS. I had a blast and the coaches were excellent! My coach was Gerry and he was awesome! I have lots of respect for the coaches going out lap after lap, session after session in that extreme heat. It was very hot and as I predicted, I got heat exhaustion. I sat out the last session as I started getting dizzy. I just couldn't do it. I was surprised I did the session before that. I pushed myself hard and completed that one. I will be coming back for level 2 no doubt. Maybe in October. It should be definitely cooler by then. I was curious, what's the name of the professional photographer who was taking the pictures? I didn't even get to see any of my pics and I would like to buy some.
  6. Awesome, thank you. Would be cool if there was camping at the track. I would of camped out there instead of staying here at the motel down the road.
  7. I know we start at 7am. What time does the training session end?
  8. Thanks for answering my questions guys. One last question. I will have my friend with me who will be helping me with loading and Unloading the bike, hence why I wanted to set up a pit area. Will he be allowed to hang around while I'm in class and on the track? This is the main reason for the pit area. I didn't think he would be allowed around me once the training starts. If I could avoid setting up canopies and all that stuff, then that would be great. It looks as if you guys will have plenty of shady areas for us to hang under.
  9. I have been doing the Stronglifts 5x5 program for almost 3 months now and the results are amazing. Much more strength and stamina. Only 3 days a week, squats are in every workout. Its amazing how squats strengthen the core.
  10. Thanks Tyler. I will definitely be buying a canopy tomorrow.
  11. I have never been to Willow Springs. Are we getting dressed, setting up bikes etc.. in a big garage? Or can we set up by our vehicles? What I'm trying to get at is, do I need to bring a canopy and set it up by my vehicle and trailer to keep out of the sun?
  12. My friends were asking me this yesterday. "What are you looking to accomplish at that expensive school?" First of all , I told them that professional training and instruction is priceless. Then I showed them what I want to accomplish. Here's what I showed them. Then they laughed.
  13. I'm happy to see that one coach will be focusing on three students at a time. This makes things 100 times better when it comes to teaching. I can't wait to be there! I looked at the extended forecast, looks like thunderstorms on the day of class.
  14. Wow!!! Didn't know there would be that many coaches there. That's awesome! How many students are usually in a class?
  15. So which coaches are going to be at the September 14th level 1 class? Just curious.
  16. The heat feels like its starting late this year. I think Im psyching myself out thinking about the desert heat and getting heat exhaustion out there. I sure hope it ends up being under 100f September 14.
  17. Yes, very thin mesh type liner. i think it probably helps wick the sweat?
  18. Finally broke out my new alpinestars Motegi suit, Knox Aegis back protector and decided to do a test run in the heat. Since I am attending the CSS in September. It was 91f in my neck of the woods today. I put on my Bilt "Heat Out" long johns, long sleeve shirt, suit, boots, gauntlet gloves and helmet. Suit fit better than it did 3 months ago, as I have been lifting weights and cycling. I walked around with it and did some squats to see how it feels moving around with it. Jumped on my bike and took a 10 mile ride on highway 15. Didn't feel bad, but definitely needs breaking in. Felt better after being on the bike about 20 minutes, shifting, braking etc.. I rather do this now, than fiddle with my gear the first day of school at CSS. When I exited the freeway and stopped at the light, the cooking began. It was very hot and I was sweating like crazy. One question I had was, should I take the liner out of the suit???
