Guest Bromson Posted February 4, 2019 Report Posted February 4, 2019 I want to get more comfortable with sliding a bike around. I have experience on a street bike but not much dirt bike experience. I hear that getting a small dirt bike is a good way to get more comfortable with sliding, any suggestions on what would be a good bike to look for? I know someone that has a small two-stroke bike that would be inexpensive and seems to have plenty of power (I think it is an 85cc) but usually I hear more about people getting a 150cc or so 4 stroke instead. Any recommendations? Any major reasons to get a newer bike instead of an older one? Quote
Apollo Posted February 10, 2019 Report Posted February 10, 2019 I'd say TTR125 or CRF150. You'll have a lot of parts availability, they have aftermarket supermoto setups available, and they're plentiful. Also, they can be raced in a lot of mini bike organizations. Quote
Cobie Fair Posted February 12, 2019 Report Posted February 12, 2019 A number of the coaches have gone and fooled around with Rich Oliver...sounded like good fun, but not sure what bike they used...gonna guess it was a Yamaha :). Quote
Dylan Code Posted March 7, 2019 Report Posted March 7, 2019 Yes like mentioned above TTR125 or CRF150. I also recommend going to a school first that uses those bikes to try before you buy, like Rich Oliver's school or American Supercamp. Quote
