  1. You go girl! I am impressed. "I did it my way", was definitely apropos.
  2. Greg, I just did Jennings on March 29th. I would very much like to see your video. I have always wanted to carry more corner speed so watching your video 4th gear no brakes going in to turn 5 would be very interesting. Great job on the 1:17. You just need three more to tie Geoff May's track record.
  3. Look at the bright side....You will be Cornering Master in no time
  4. Domina, You are here by (is that hyphenated) relieved of any and all duties pertaining to but not excluding the thread and all communique's wrtten on or about the last part of March and the early part of April. ( I watched court tv last night) This was your thread. You made all this possible. None of this would have happened, the crazy monologues, the countdown from thirty, Kevin trying to sabotage the event (R-word), HotFoot, Cobie, Rondre3000, JayBird (interrupted with Willow count-down), Alaska Benchracer. All because of you. And now the end is near we've come to face the final curtain (theres a song in there somewhere) and you want to let us down....I'm speechless.
  5. Good move. You have no idea what was about to happen... Ok....I give up?
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnApwANB3Ac Domina, I just wanted to remind you one more time that we have TEN days left.... Oh. I see. 23 was a typographical error as well. You meant 2 OR 3! And, my deepest apologies for not going back far enough in the entertainment timeline. Though, it is good to see you've learned to access this new-fangled technology so you can be sure to look up what comes after ten when counting backwards. (Face it, you were Michael Jacksoned. There's no coming back from that.) And, sorry for the delayed response. A cook-out (Hyphenated, like numerical conjunctions such as twenty-one, etc. hehehe.) sounds wonderful. It will be great to actually meet everyone. However, in case you missed it, Kevin "Rainman" Kane has threatened to grace us with his presence-in order to bring down the torrential monsoons of the apocalypse, no doubt. So, it may have to be a cook-in. It seems my travel dates have been extended so, I'll have to catch up on the on-line repartee more orrow as I am hitting the road in SEVEN days and just have that much more to deal with. (Aside from having to try to sleep at some freakishly early hour-in Hollywood!-so that I can get up at some other ungodly hour as training for arriving at the track at least semi-conscious. Yes, I know. In TEN days.) The MJ video was great! I have you know, I spent a good part of the afternoon trying to best you! Well done Domina. P.S. 23 was a typographical error. You shouldn't have wasted your time. I have horrible images forever emblazoned in my memory to the tune of Europe's "Final Countdown". In other news: http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USCA...pnav_undeclared What gives? No more Sesame Street? Don't tell me you forgot the Sacred Countdown. I had to look up rutabaga. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJN2SPUcXTQ...&playnext=1 nine
  7. I thought since we (our group) were going to be staying in Monterrey for a week, Sat. thru Fri., we might invite a few of you guys over for some grillage. Nothing fancy just a chance to say hello to old and new friends. We can't cook for everyone but I thought that those that have been a part of Domina's thread might like to join us. Maybe we could do it Wednesday night? I will let you guys know something later.

  10. Hey Benchracer, Sounds awesome that you are going to make it. I have always felt that if I had the opportunity to visit a track, I would be riding. I'm sure I will be talking to you at some point, see you on the 15th. Go to the Laguna Seca website and get the track map to prepare and also "Twist of the Wrist" book. You can also search for topics on the CSS website for key phrases and drills that are used in the book and classroom.
  11. Hotfoot, We might have to see if we can arrange a little cook out (Domina, is this two words or one?) the evening of the 14th for some of the guys that have been on the thread. I think we are going to have a great time and I look forward to meeting You guys. TWELVE DAYS and a wake up
  12. It appears that two women are ganging up on me...? Am I lucky or what! You guys are probably better riders too. Hotfoot asked a couple of questions earlier about where we were from and schools.... My wife and I are from Spanish Fort, Al. only a mile or so from Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. We are meeting two other couples in Houston for the flight to San Jose. We are staying in a rental house that is only about three miles from the track. We will be there for the week arriving on Saturday and look forward to touring up and down the coast. (I would really like to surf!) This session will be my 9th and 10th with Keith Code. I have attended CSS at Barber, The Streets Of Willow, and Virginia International Raceway. My friends and I will be riding in level IV ( "as long as we behave" Cobie Fair ). I have been riding sportbikes since 2004 when I did my first track day. I low sided my first time out. I then low sided my second time out. Inspite of the faliure, I still loved the sport and decided to take a CSS class. It changed my perspective on riding and what was possible for me to achieve. So here I am now riding in the expert class, "A" NESBA and about to attend my 9th and 10th CSS school. I will be racing WERA at Barber in May, two races that will qualify me for endurance racing next year. All goals that I set for myself. I'm 53 going on 23. So there you have it.
  13. Hey, I entered a four letter word! The website defaulted to #####! I didn't do it.
  14. Hotfoot, You're fitting right in........................THIRTEEN DAYS p.s. I don't think the spell check works on this forum.
  15. www.vimeo.com/3950837 A ride around Jennings GP. I mounted my camera facing the rear to get some video of a friend. A beautiful day at a little track out in the middle of nowhere. The track was designed by Ed Bargy and has a great set up out of turn one, a long left hander into a 120 mph left hander then a very technical back section.....www.jenningsgp.com/thetrack.htm I will continue the countdown in the a.m.
  16. Wow, What happened! Hotfoot is a she not a he! Domina is correcting my spelling! JayBird just chimes in anytime he likes and now Kevin drops the "R" word! Holy ######! This is unacceptable people! I'm going to bed.
  17. Where have you been Hotfoot? You are going to Laguna Seca and you are just finding this thread! Domina, should we let him in? And yes correct the damn spelling...you have made me paranoid about it now. Just that much more pressure to deal with...I might have to assign Hotfoot a count down day.
  18. I think there are a couple of modes of thought that come into play here. 1.) The slider is to keep you from destroying your leathers, it serves its purpose so who cares what it wears like... 2.) The slider is used to gauge where one is in relation to lean angle....a product of not screwing up your leathers. 3.) See reason number one Regardless of what the real purpose for you is, I find that proper positioning of the puck produces less fatigue in my legs. When the pucks aren't positioned correctly, one can have more pulling from catching the apron and more vibration than one would have with two surfaces on the same plane. So for me, the goal is to keep my skin, keep my leathers and put in as many sessions as I possibly can. This is just a secondary thought and I'm not going to fret to much about it when I'm getting ready to ride. P.S. I prefer leather pucks over plastic.
  19. I'm glad it wasn't two days! I would hate to be responsible for that.
