  1. Btw clutchless shifting is near instantaneous.Getting the downshift right can be tricky though.
  2. You have to practice getting your brake fingers to slide over the lever while maintaining the brake pressure.
  3. What race tracks have you been on and what do you have to say about them? Anyone been on the Nurburgring?
  4. It looks fine to me.Great bike and leathers.Love the personal plate. Cobie, can you see anything wrong? Is there some stiffness in the shoulders?
  5. Twist 1 and 2 together feel so complete it is difficult to imagine what the new book will contain. Cobie, why don't you write a book as well?
  6. Found this.Vintage Keith Code and Cobie Fair!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBlqVx4mWUw
  7. Twist 2 is the latest of Keith's books.
  8. That came out earlier than Twist 2 right?
  9. Are you in the Vol 1 video as well? In my opinion Twist 1 is needed to fully take advantage of twist 2. Will there be a third book or even a video series of some sort?
  10. Has anyone seen the full twist 1 movie? Here is a clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pocXYyHCuw
  11. Hey was Joe Roberts one of the kids in the twist 2 dvd? They tease the two guys about throttle control.
  12. I cannot agree more.Having someone helping you is a great aid and saves you from wasting time on mistakes you don't know you are making.HF, can you clear your inbox, i would like to send you a PM. Thanks
  13. Race starts are pretty much a drag race with a lot of people in your lane is it not? One more thing. Is the material in the twist books and those of levels 1-3 the same? Or is the stuff taught in levels 1-3 uniquely different from the twist books?
  14. Cobie, i will most certainly take you up on that offer.
  15. Found this - http://www.superbikeschool.com/schedule/ What is the difference between " All Levels ", " 2 day camp " and " Code Race"? Any clue which of these happens at India? Thanks
  16. That is not the police. That's the Moto Gymkhana done by pro's.I wish to be that good some day.
  17. I read the book and absorbed the theory.I am getting the bike to lean no doubt.I am having trouble seeing how well i am doing it.Besides it was done on a borrowed bike so i had only a half hour or so.My friend mentioned there was about 3-4 inches between the pegs and the ground. I guess i am not satisfied with my quick turn...not that i can't do it at all. Thanks for the input.
  18. So how do you guys do it exactly?
  19. Umm the suspension is quite basic without any adjustment.Think a 2000 $ bike new.
  20. I had some difficulties quick flicking.I tried to counter steer hard and it upset the bike.Though i did change direction. I tried to progressively push on the bars but it was not satisfactory.I have no way of monitoring how much i am actually leaning.Should i do a push and pull using both hands? I am trying to get the quick flick without hanging off.
  21. Ok that was how i understood it.Thanks. Keith mentions steering rate and even has a graph. You know...how Rainey steers in half a sec or less while we take almost 2 secs. How do you guys do? A steady push of about two inches should get me down nicely no? I use half an inch to avoid obstacles.
  22. Thanks.Thoughts on pivot steering?
  23. Read Twist 2 again and have a few questions. Quick flick - Here is what i understand 1. Off the throttle on the brakes. 2. Off the brakes, one cheek out. ( or out while breaking ) 3. Pull on one side push the other side of the bars. 4. Bike falls in, apply throttle. Is this correct? What is your sequence? Pivot Steering - basically apply pressure with the outside foot on the outside peg while you hang off? How do you do this?
