  1. I watched the Phillip Island GP.Remember the Hard Compound was shredding so fast they had to have a pitstop? The surface is a bit too rough.
  2. This is the first i hear of severed brake lines from debris. It may however be harder to tamper with braided lines, and they will not be affected by the elements as much.
  3. They should have kept 2 stroke as an option, and maybe allowed more capacity for 2 strokes.Gone is the era.
  4. Yes, clutchless shifts, using the clutch, and blipping the throttle. Also going down from like 6 th to 2nd before you corner etc.Shift a lot of gears while you brake hard.
  5. I checked out Z custom and their prices seem a bit much.I yet have to look at Bates leathers....but so far Spartan seems the best option.May in inquire as to what suit you are getting and also the charges? You can PM me if you do not wish to share in public.I must say this is most fortunate.I will now know exactly what quality they are and how the customer service is.Thanks man.
  6. I usually do not, as the roads are too dusty and the tires and brakes on local bikes are basic. On a track or private roads, i would be leaning as much as i could at the middle third of the turn.
  7. I let off at about 30-40% of the turn ( apex is 50 % ) so near or at the apex i am off the brakes and on the gas.I trail the rear brake a little longer than the front.I let off trailing the front brakes before dialing in any serious lean. I have not ridden for a bit, so i am foggy on the details.
  8. You are correct. It helps you understand just how fast you can really go.
  9. I don't think so, trailing the brakes a bit helps get the bike turned.
  10. Isn't it that as you go faster, the bike is more resistant to changing direction?
  11. Hey thanks man, i can access the site now!! They do not list the thickness of the leather they use...and no prices listed either.
  12. I seem unable to access the ZCustom website for some reason.
  13. The TT is way harder than regular GP circuits....remember they used to run GP's there and the riders protested saying it was unsafe, leading to the cancellation.
  14. You are right about the Pakistan part...a lot of stuff is made there and it offers healthy margins.
  15. I am trying to research one or two brands at a time....and these two are the more popular.I too agree that it is expensive to buy cheap suits. In fact i am leaning towards custom as the way to go ( Spartan ) but there are some lesser known brands like Baranacle Bill's and everything which also make custom suits....hmmm.
  16. Alpinestars are Italian as well.I am not so sure about AGV....i know the coaches use them.
  17. Regarding these two brands - 1. Which offers better protection for the money? ( about a 1000 $ give or take ) 2. Which holds up to use in hot and humid conditions without degrading? ( India ) 3. Which of these fit better? I have heard Dainese is a premium fit and finish. 4. Which offers better armor and abrasion resistance? ( Both suits as well as gloves ) 5. Have you seen people crash wearing them, and did they suffer friction burns when they crashed/injuries despite the leathers? 6. Did a particular brand cause them to sweat more than the others? Conversely, did they feel cold at night/winter? 7. Which brand enjoys a better reputation.Have you heard any horror stories regarding quality? Thanks
  18. I believe when you no longer understand what is happening, or when the bike is disobeying you , or when you are not confident - That is your limit. % figures are a myth.Traction for instance may affect your limit, as does poor bike set up, general state of mind etc.
  19. Thanks man, also anything i may have missed - Don't know too very much about leathers.Owe you one.
