faffi Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Let's say you were to participate at a race around Laguna Seca over 8 hours in a 2-rider team, what kind of bike do you think would be the most fun? Current, semi-modern, old, ancient or relic? Large or small? Two-stroke or four? Modified street or pure race? Quote
Stroker Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Current easy to ride bike...like the CBR 600RR.You will be surprised how hard taming the latest and greatest over an 8 hour period can be lol. Quote

YellowDuck Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 My answer is always the same: http://www.ncrfactory.com/eng/html/18.00.shtml I am not saying it would be comfy, but it sure would be cool. Quote
Stroker Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 120 Horse at the wheel from a 1200cc motor? Quote
YellowDuck Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Air-cooled 2-valver. Beats the pants off any 1200cc air-cooled Harley. Quote
faffi Posted October 3, 2014 Author Report Posted October 3, 2014 Interesting and good choice, YD Quote
tmckeen Posted October 4, 2014 Report Posted October 4, 2014 the new KTM production MotoGP bike would be awfully fun to ride around Laguna Seca for 8 hours, Assuming the noise monitoring station isn't listening, Quote
Cobie Fair Posted October 6, 2014 Report Posted October 6, 2014 I've done some endurance racing, and 8 hours with a 2 rider team...that would be tough. Think I'd have to hit the gym first, like for maybe 3 months. Then an S1000. I simply moved a GSXR-1000 yesterday at the track, wow, way heavier (no, I don't know what year it was). Quote
Kawasaki Kid Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 I would like a zx -12 frame with a supercharger. maybe extend the rear a few mm's. A sticker on the back saying "Don't kill youself trying to Keep up". [Jesus, I'm tired. (N.I.V.)] Quote

RonniB Posted December 21, 2014 Report Posted December 21, 2014 For results and comfort, any new-ish 600cc bike with a decent trackprepped chassis and stock engine. Fast enough but not handfull Quote
