  1. Jeremy, glad you are posting! I was just curious if had been to a school, we could refer to some of the material if you had. Back to your question: if the counter steering is done, what will make the bike lean over more? If you want to tighten the corner, what makes the line tighter, with the bike leaning over more?
  2. We made it out, about 2 hours north of LA in the desert. Had a great time, daughter loved it--asking about going again this coming weekend!
  3. Had a few close calls in the canyons...really didn't care for that! I get enough time on racetracks that there isn't much interest in being silly on the street. But the few times I ride in the dirt...I really need to wear all the gear (and I do :)). Best, Cobie
  4. Good use of your time (doing a bit of the same :))
  5. I'm SOOOO looking forward to getting on my dirt bike tomorrow! Hope you get some moto time in soon
  6. Hi Jeremy, Just to verify, you have not done a school with us, is that correct? Best, Cobie
  7. Sounds good, both of you guys. You both mention being a bit reticent to get too crazy (and get hurt). Responsible fellows! But (being part hooligan) I will ask how often do you boys get banged up? Could a little hooliganing (unlikely an actual verb) be good enough for the soul to be worth the risk? I've got one friend (very good rider) but knows he has no self-restraint, and so won't go dirt riding with me. Do you boys fall in that category, or just generally responsible fellows. Best, Cobie
  8. Anyone doing anything riding related in the downtime? I've been threatening to dirt ride, should happen this weekend...finally. And ideally taking my daughter to ride, first time--looking forward to it. So, anyone else? Polishing the bike? Doing upgrades? Watching old races? Re-reading Twist? Telling lies to your pals? Hanging out on forums?
  9. I'm jealous that you are getting some track days! I'd should have been at that school in '96 if Keith was there...
  10. I'm not going to respond (we are already e-mailing), but I am interested in what others have to say on this--good question. CF
  11. It's becoming a missile through a house or rock wall that grabs my attention. I admire the _____ outta those boys, but like the guy that free climbed El Capitan...not even vaguely interested.
  12. I'm pretty lazy, I like the F-800, probably even with saddle bags. Pretty impressive all round bike. Would love more power, like a 1000 version, so I can be more lazy and not have to shift much :). Failing that...the single R (1000) is a sweet ride.
  13. Quartararo, you can see he often keeps both legs into the tank under braking. I hope he de-thrones Marquez.
  14. A few years back we were at Laguna Seca after WSB, and I asked Leon Camier about this. His comment was that it was harder to keep the weight off the bars, didn't like that, but it did keep the back end from coming up as much.
  15. I get stressed out watching this...
  16. Looking for another place to ride this weekend. I think there are a very few that are open...in SoCal. We can socially distance, no one has to distance-shame us (if that isn't a term already, will be shortly).
  17. I'm jealous. Just heard that some friends rented a track in AZ, 12 of them total, had the gate locked after they were all in, and got a track day in! I can't even go ride my dirt bike. (Do I sound like I'm whining--I am!).
  18. Gorman is closed...really? Looking for another place, heard Wagon Wheel is still open. I think that's BLM land. Any one fancy some dirt riding, maybe April 11? I don't think Mayor Garcetti can turn the power off out there...
  19. Many come in the day before and set up, should be no problem. Regarding tires, always good to check that we have them on hand (if buying from us), but easy to coordinate, just call the office. As for mounting them in the morning that is no problem. Just get the tires sorted out asap when you get there, and it will get scheduled for changing. JJ gets the first group (white) tires ready first, easy to coordinate. Best,, Cobie
  20. 2000 KX 250 (2-stroke). What a hoot to ride. I know the 4-strokes can be a bit easier, but it sure is easy to start when I watch the other guys kicking the pea-waddin out of their 450's. Saw that Gorman is now closed, and really...I don't get it. Can easily practice social distancing. We are seeing if we can get to the other BLM land, hope that stays open!
  21. My internet is stalled, I can't get the video up of Will riding at Streets...can anyone get to that, let's see what he is doing with the throttle there.
  22. Looks like Eddie was going for the inside pass, had to back out when he wasn't going to make it and when he did ran wide and tagged Schwantz's rear.
  23. Yeah I don't worry too much about a wide entry into T-4.
