Jet
Misti, Nice cameo appearance in Twist 2 by the way. You may be right about there being more than two instances of near death. Certainly when we passed the triumph on the outside of the bend on only the two outside wheels the look of shock on the pillion on the triumph suggested we may have slightly overdone it, credit to Mr Adshead he brought it all under control. You may also be lucky as none of your colleagues got to see you in all your glory, and just how high your voice can go. This would have been the start of a nickname email thread in UK for sure. Death Wagon though has to be a none starter as i always use the level 1 student sat in the front row rule, as he/she looks up in awe wondering which of these magnificent coaches they will get to transform their life, only to hear one is called "Death Wagon" They then realise she is their coach. One avenue would be: death wagon/ hearse, lady who drives in a hearse/ addams family/ Morticia (still dont like this myself but could start another avenue) I prefer the screach route myself although this may not be your normal reaction to being driven, so there may be some resistance from colleagues. But with all the great cartoon characters you guys have you must have something that screams a lot or begs to slow down. The normal format in UK for this, would be about 50 emails now bouncing around with ideas. So i open the floor PS Sorry if this does actually end you with a name Jet
tzrider
OK--Barbie works for Burnett for sure, cracks me up just thinking about it. Does me too! Might have to bring her out of retirement...
tzrider
I thought I had buried that terrifying memory but there you went and brought it all back again! There were WAY more than two points where we nearly died and yes I did scream the entire way back. The scariest part was when the whole lot of you were flinging your bodies to the left or the right when going around corners, trying to flip the darn thing. We had all four wheels off the ground on more than one occasion. I vowed to never let you wankers drive me again "Don't be gentle, it's a rental!" This brings back other memories, like when Paul e-braked the rental car and you went into the dashboard.
pete
What I'm feelin' right now: Winkle (Mikey) Barbie (Andy Burnette) Not sure why but it sounds funny. I like those. Misti? Not sure.... Your name is kinda like a nickname anyway.

stuman
I was just busting Misti's chops with the "Death Wagon" thing. Doesn't really fit her very well. Like Pete said it seems like Misti's name is kinda like a nickname for some reason. Maybe Mommy would work though....

griffter
Good day all, Griffter ere from the Motherland. Now then fellow Brits, when I started to read this thread I thought there was no chance that our fellow cousins from across the pond would ever get this nickname malarkie, but...By golly i think they've got it! This of course is due to great work from our newly crowned 'Senior Riding Coach' Jet, 'Time Served Piss Taker' Bullet and 'The Family Leader' Idiot. Commendable work fellas, it fills me with great optimism that there is still hope for the US fraternity yet. Lol The names so far; Wipes - I'm liking this one, nothing wrong with a bit of personal hygene. A modern man but, WIPES! I'd have kept that secret. Lol Barbie - HAHAHAHA! Entertainment value on this will never end. Winkle - I've experienced the reason for this first hand in SA (was afraid to say anything...thought it was my conversation). So I'll run with this one just to give me piece of mind. Misti - Had a cat with three legs called Misti, think it's best we don't continue down that line. Going to open this up as I'm sure there's some mileage in it... Oz Adam - Twas a sunny morning at Kyalami close to midday and as I approached turn 3 (the coaches holding area) I was surprised in what I saw. To my amazement, there in front of me. No it could not be! Yes. It is! In the middle of the grass was Oz Adam, C...R...C having a minute to himself. Now, I don't know, but after much thought and deliberation, I can only imagine he took it upon himself (it was close to lunchtime, possibly he couldn't wait any longer and maybe this is what they do Down Under) to embark on what can only be described as a bit of grazing. Now, he didn't look particularly SHEEPish but then surely he wouldn't have been HORSEing around....would he? Anyway, the floor is open and my contribution for now is Heifer! Regards Griffter

Regards Griffter Thanks for your words of support there my friend, though if you don't mind me saying, that was almost rash you stickin your head above the wall without getting a name yourself yet.. Don't ya think...? So, what with you having been a pro golf coach, and ex rugby pro ( for the amercians amongst us, thats like American Football, but without the pads), and a name of some theological orgin, Guniess drinking fella like yourself, you'd have thought we'd have come up with something by now wouldn't you? griffter
Ahhh, an opportunity to see just how good these teachings have been. Maybe the protege's will achieve greatness where the masters have seemingly failed! Cobie Fair
OK,maybe this is crystal clear to all, and I'm a bit dense, but he was either taking a leak or chewing on some grass....? To answer the Barbie question: some years back, we did Christmas gifties for the lads, asked them for what they wanted. They didn't respond very quickly, and got threatened with "lipstick and dolls". So, Andy Burnett got a Barbie doll. He brings it to the next school, and she had her own riding suit (he said his mom made it, sure Andy), and attached it to the bike, and coached with Barbie riding pillion all day long, and for a number of other schools. Classic. Some other names were bantered around at this weekends schools, see if the lads get to posting on this. CF

Trevor Pennington
New proposed nicknames from the US Commitee on Nick Names Cobie Fair - PETA - "I'd rather go naked and wear fur" James Toohey - MC (Hammer) - can't touch this! Lonnie Etter - Pit (Pit Bull) - but I personally like Pitt () (just needs some tattoos) Josh Galster - Happy - for oh so many reasons That's it for now I think. Cobie Fair
PETA? Don't get it, and don't think it fits all the requirements for a nick name as laid down by the Pommies. Adam, grazing, I see now. As for names, we have given one to Johnny while he was here, it's "Daytona." Ask him how he got it! CF
Balistic
I have stayed out of this Frey but at this point I feel compelled to post. I got a nickname when I fresh out boot camp that I earned with my ability to change my mode of operation in the blink of eye to respond to a situation. Many already know this but it is my screen name Balistic. 0 to 10 on the attitude scale with nothing between, it has nothing to do with any other kind of speed. As for Cobie's, it would be a great injustice to all the elder staff old enough to have watched any of the Mr. Magoo cartoons growing up to pass on the oblivious and award Cobie the nickname of MAGOO with the Os done up as eyes. OK, I just have to ask, did you MEAN to write "oblivious" instead of "obvious", or was that just a really, really terrific Freudian slip? It cracked me up, that's for sure! stuman
Also From this weekend... Johny "Daytona" Haynes - he hates it, which is all the more reason this one should stick. I'll let him explain in private to the UK guys where this came from But it sounds cool ( like a 70's porn start name) and it even comes with a little tune (think porn music, bow chicka wow wow) and dance Timmy "Vegas" Johnson - he earned this one this weekend as well
Bullet
MC hammer, thats a stayer, fit the requirements perfectly! Next. Johnny Daytona's probably telling us a greatly more heroic story than the truth! He's always on at us about that as well, and he definitely sounds like a porn star with that!
