  1. The best riding position during cornering is the one that makes you comfortable and the suspension stable. If you try to hang-off to reduce the lean angle of the bike and to improve the suspension, but, because improper ergo, you introduce undesired mid turn steering inputs and/or suspension-upsetting forces while relocating your butt in the saddle, any benefit is annulled. well said.
  2. am i missing something? I don't see a style in the books (or dvds) I only see riding technology that can or cannot be applied on different bikes. eg scooters without the clutch lever, clutch upshift timing explained cannot be applied.
  3. Is a KTM duke 125 within your budget? I'd say go for it because it costs 3 times the amount in india over in my country because of taxes.
  4. everyones built differently try differnt bikes and see which one you feel "at home with"
  5. i regularly cream people on roads because they want to use max lean angle and not the optimum way to carry themselves and the bike thru the corner. If you understand 10% of the book, u'll be practicing much more than just using up your lean angles imho. still skeptical imho that you hav read and undersstood the book/dvd Easy there, everyone has different priorities in their riding. Keep in mind, lean angle is one of the things that can tie up a lot of a rider's attention. It is, in fact, one of the four standard Survival Reaction triggers - see page 3 in A Twist of the Wrist II. So, ktk_ace, although it may not be an issue for you, in your riding, at this moment, it may be taking up enough of Stroker's attention that it must be handled before he is willing to look at other things. That is an important aspect of the individualized coaching at the school - if there is some particular thing absorbing all or most of a rider's attention, that thing must be addressed before he/ she will have any real interest in learning anything else. Your point about using up all available lean angle NOT being optimum is well taken, but every rider is different, and our fears/priorities/skillset are not only different from each other but also changing as we learn new things about controlling a motorcycle! This is a friendly forum so please do try to be patient and let's help Stroker sort through this concern. Noted . I apologise for being a bit impatient. I'm thinking that the no lean bike at the CSS will benefit Stroker greatly if he can attend school.

  7. still skeptical ... why would you want to lean on bad condition roads ??
  8. im guessing he hasnt read the book or seen the dvd...
  9. hes a racer and he's young. I'd take golf from tiger wood's instructor than tiger woods himself because... doing something is one thing teaching it is a whole different ballgame.
  10. I do that all the time. read the book and view the DVD imho, being capable is not just one skill but a mix of alot of elements being executed in harmony and perfection .
  11. my 2c and guesstimate: choose a method that makes the suspension be in the mid range sweet spot on most of the turn imho. bike is compliant in that range.
  12. im guessing the both springs and oil are shot ... try running over a bump, if the sus is in the correct range, it should be an up down and (small) up motion without further oscillations. any movement more than that is...way out of range imho
  13. front or rear? if your front sus is shot / not spec-ed to sporty riding (as in bone stock), doing too fast a quick turn followed by the throttle will "float" the front
  14. Reading this gave me ideas... http://www.gizmag.co...e-helmet/26548/ + google glass 50 Grams man... imagine it being integrated to the S1000RR as an aftermarket/ factory kit by some helmet manufacturer~ No more glimpsing the dashboard anymore ~
  15. MM is gonna be HOT this year. I hope Ben Spies gets a few podiums thou~ Rossi should totally retire / stick to racing development imho...
  16. This tread is interesting as i didnt notice it before as i too have this " turn too quickly" + "later turn point" problem yesterday. The bike just feel destabilized and the rear wiggled a little when i used a later turn point and/or quicker flick guess its possible to overdo things...
  17. I did a M60 , rested for 5 mins and finished the remainding 40 off on the first try. the vid did say slowly up the reps/ speed if you can't do 100 at one go~ Now doing Sub 5 min M100's , i try to shave 1-3 seconds daily : )
  18. best way is for the coach to record you doing the turn and going wide THEN another coach record your coach on how its done properly X/Y point comparison , and you will notice where you are weak at imho.
  19. A good friend of mine who is an army medical officer offered this , I tried it and imho it kinda works : M100's (daily, fab for lower body strength) Extreme Six Pack Abs Workout (every 2 days, helps to burn the ring of fat off )
  20. Lazy steering steering corrections going in too fast throttle control bad turn in point > caused by the above PS. i usually observe a rider for one slow/medium speed turn and overtake him on the next medium/high speed turn its safer imho , i can easily pull 4-5 bike lengths away .Its better to stay far away from some riders on the road...
  21. aslcbr600's situation is erringly similar to mine (ie came out of the military 1.5 yrs ago too / belly fat hard to trim / lean and light inside the miltary/ got fat outside/dont drink soda ) Interested to know how to trim belly fat too!!!
  22. im doing the bodbot routine , it uses algorithms to calculate and change your workout intensities which is great (but a bit buggy as of now) had sore but movable/usable arms/legs for 3 days in a row , recovered within 2 days (which is rare for me , esp if i overtrain unexpectedly)
  23. IMHO you cant go wrong by grabbing the tank most if not all of the time with your legs on road bikes.
  24. Im on chia seeds for the omega3/6 intake. And olive oil is not a good oil for frying (lard/tallow is, hi flash point) ... its flash point is low = breaks down under medium heat , best to drizzle it on dishes/salads to maximize its health benefits.
