  1. maybe im having trouble differntiating fun and/or stabilty who knows, maybe i want both and sometimes the speed limit goes outa the window?
  2. It's interesting that you think there are safety reasons for adhering to arbitrary speed limits. There are financial ones though, absolutely. for some roads , esp straights with intersections, i think its a good idea , the reaction time buffer for unexpected incidents is pretty ok of you are in the legal limit. for some corners, nah... Knowing how many km/h you're travelling is not useful information. That buffer you're talking about is a vision skill that needs to be learnt. Simply travelling at the number shown on the sign tells you nothing. This false sense of security is one of the fatal flaws with speed limits in general. Vision skills are near useless if its a blind 90 degree corner intersection. esp when someone rushes out without warning or looking when you have right of way. If the speed limit is 50 BUT my sampled reflex buffer is much less, i wont ride at 50 ; i'll ride slighty below my sampled safe speed (ie 35-40) PS> i am in no way saying vision skills are useless in other situations; in fact the skill have saved my bacon multiple times on public roads when there are no/little blind spots. Problem is i live i an urban built up area with lots of blind spots due to crappy public infrastructure planning, hence much more exceptions come in. Does this count as some sort of 10$ rule subset/ mode?

  4. pardon me for asking this question, im stumped for a few weeks now that : If i want to hold the best line and provide the maximum stability for the bike for some corners ... I go way above the speed limit imposed on that turn (eg the SL is 50KM/H and I usually exit at near 70KM/H...) and if I go on the legal limit... I dont feel safe because everything is unoptimized and unstable (brake points, entry speed, quick turn, bike feels less stable etc) I dont like to speed for safety and financial reasons ; Im a law abiding citizen when possible But This "problem" have me in a dilemma for a few weeks now... (i dont feel safer at slower speeds for that corner) Anyone has a familiar problem like mine and solutions?
  5. wow, thats the feeling i got after 21000KM on my bike...(very very recently) rider and bike as one? Is that a skill level up?
  6. BLOCKING!! ah dang, i forgot about that when the tail steps out , it effectively blocks a much bigger part of the lane used to overtake... I guess all the Initial D sessons do pay off LOL. Drifting on tarmac is pretty stressful for the tires thou , both 2/4 wheels.(durablility goes to hell) No experience on the dirt, anyone wanna chime in on this?
  7. I think its copyrighted... oh well if someone PM's you, you might be in luck!!
  8. im sure this company makes custom suits but gloves... im not sure http://www.secre.co.jp/others.php

  11. Im guessing the bandwidth just exceeded its max a few days before the start of the next month. Trimming bandwidth will help more than paying more for an uncertain amount of overuse over a few days to month's end prior...
  12. I swear by progrip superbike 699 grips the waffle pattern is a very good cushion/ vibration supression for the palm contacts and the indents makes hooking on with the pinky and ring finger absolutely wonderful for micro / macro throttle application Mine is going strong after 3.5 years (17000KM's) with some wear , im thinking of changing them at the 20K KM mark oh and get clarino gloves if possible, the most comfy pair of goves i have worn are made of clarino for the side facing down.
  13. NINJA 636 2013 for track days. Triumph street 675R 2011 for everything else~
  14. im thinking the leg out is used to stablilize the relatiively wobbly bike in turn... its kinda comparing GT championships with D2 championships imho. both have merits and weakensses.
  15. I heard that the damping system is taken from the M5 parts bin so the system is techinically not an entirely new design, but an existing one with tweaks? I might be wrong thou, but this route that BMW is doing makes financial sense as the R&D will be much smaller...
  16. Did you notice that the chatter got progressively worse as the race went on? And that the chatter was inconsistent, sometimes really bad and sometimes mild - even on the exact same parts of the track? What "suspension component" is most likely to be the cause of inconsistency in the bike's handling? Im guessing the oil in the forks/shocks is getting overheated due to too much extra input...
  17. You can try 303 Aerospace Protectant for the outside of your visor, it adds a certain amount of SPF protection too~
  18. Everything in the Books and DVD's Mr Keith code wrote~
  19. Funny that i ride slow, i have somehow the same feel as you~ slow down by 10 KM/H and i seem to have much more time to do precision tuning/inputs for that near perfect turn in and power out on many familiar corners... and I run less risk of getting a speeding ticket but my reasons for riding slow is different; its winter, my 12" tires offer me much less grip when cold and gas prices... Im pinching pennies so to speak
  20. welcome! theres lots of articles around and a school in your country too, i'd say you can call them up dor a track day and some riding education ^^
  21. would love to hear about the S1000RR HP4's system anyway, is stock electronic systems within the field of discussion? (ie traction controls onn the new Ninja 636 etc )
